Hi,

Got a 93 supra tt and lately its been feelin a bit slow taking off. When boost kicks in it doesnt feel like how it use to feel?! Does anyone know what could be the problem? Could it be one of the turbo are gone? :S

Any advice would be appreciated!

you may have a vacume leak, do you have a gauge or boost controller you can see what kinda boost your hitting?

had a good mate with a TT aristo, same dealio. found out he was barely hitting 8psi because some of the old hoses had perished.

also is it autoslushbox?

Yeah when boost kicks in, its goes up to 1 bar. Honestly it feels like one of the turbo is gone.

Its an auto

most probably you get used to the power.

Try to drive a slower car for 1 week and jump into ur supra again.

Sure it feels faster :p

Any advice would be appreciated!

1. check flux capacitor.
2. have you put diesel in your tank
3. be good to your mother
4. Beware of studying in bed – always better to sit up (otherwise it is too easy to fall asleep while reading or studying).

5.Eat healthy and exercise, even and especially during preparation for exams or papers.

6. Eat breakfast.

7. Watch your sleep – get enough.

8. Value friendships.

9. take it to a mechanic.

It could be the weather. I find my car drops off a bit in power and lags a bit more when it's a hot day compared to a cold one.

It could be a number of diffent Things. Even Dirty Plugs can do this.. Service it Regularly????

Hard to explain... but when it boosts it feels like the car doesn't really get up and go? I'm experiencing that at the moment, and what shits me is pingpingpingpings saying "you are used to the power".

I hit boost, all the right noises can be heard, but the car just doesn't rapidly accelerate.

Might be worth doing a compression check. Sounds like a similar problem to what mine was doing. I convinced myself that I was just getting used to the power but found out later that it had leaking compression through the valves. Got it fixed and it pulls a lot harder when it hits boost.
Is there any misfire or slight hesitations in the rev range?

+1 warmer weather, it does make a large differnce.

Fourseven, evo may also need plugs for misfire/slight hesitation

I get both occasionally.

Same thing mine was doing and apparently is a sign of valve problem. At around 2000rpm it would just struggle slightly to get past that point but then it would free itself up again once it went past 2100.
It might not be the same problem but would be worth to compression test it to start you off somewhere and start eliminating possible causes.
When/if you compression test it, it would probably be worthwhile to clean your coilpacks and replace the plugs if they need replacing.

Sounds very similar. It's also different gears at different times. 1st will be fine, 2nd and 3rd will struggle, 4th will be fine etc. Thanks for the info!

I've only recently had the plugs changed, but someone told me the Evo plug leads are shitty after a while so I'll replace those next.

Good question. I tend to give the car a bit more of a belting after dark so I can't really be sure.

ROR!!

I switched to BKRE6's, cleaned coilpacks added boost and it feels like its getting a good bit of poke now. Have you freed up your intake and exhaust? Removed TRC? Had a look at your cats? Checked your VSVs?

Your boosting to 1 bar yeah? Tested on dyno? Installed FCD? Overboosting?

*mine ?
Sometimes a small vac leak will just make it come on boost alot softer, it can still show a normal peak boost pressure on your gauge.
