Hey guys my automatic gear box is playing up.. It was working perfect untill 2 days ago.. Now its getting stuck in 2nd gear and when it reaches 3k revs it just revs out and wont go into 3rd.. Any idea how to fix this or will I be looking at a new gearbox?
That bring me to another question what should I do if its the gearbox.. Im a bit low on money so would it be cheaper to get another auto gear box or go for a manual conversion?
Thanks guys

Have u serviced the auto?
When was the last time it had it's oil changed and filter replaced?

If it's not changing gears and basically free revving, the box is well beyond help, cheaper to either smash through a manual conversion if you have the time to shop around, or just simply put in another auto as already suggested.

get another auto box
people practically give them away

ok managed to find a auto r33 gearbox for 350 .. is this a fair price for a 2nd hand item? also is it just the gearbox i need to replace the one i have in the car.. or do i need other parts? IM pretty sure its just the gearbox i need but i just want some reassurance
Thanks
Provideing its the same box
Just put new oil and filter in it and it should be good to go!

Surely you could find one cheaper than that, look around if you dont need it urgently.
