its a sales/underwriting role in a small call centre, its not a 6 figure salary. there are generous overtime opportunities, paid certified study through ANZIIF and you talk cars all day long :)
there is plenty of opportunity to develop.
anyone who has done this type of work, or has looked in to, should have an idea of what the pay is like.

also one would assume 'Salary' indicates a 40 hour week and overtime isnt paid ... you have to be able to work a max of 45 hours by law per week i.e. your employee can legally make you work 1 hour of work outside of regular hours a day.
a 'Wage' would indicate overtime hours would be paid on any hours worked outside of the base of 38hrs, Time and a half for the first 2 hours and double time for any following with a meal allowance paid on all Double time work generally 20 bucks tax free.
LOL I have no intention of applying bro, but have a friend chasing a job as they just got made reduntant.
I think we both applied for this previously but wernt up to Shannons standards anyhow :P

lol :)
Super is only paid on hours worked within the base or 38hrs. Generally not paid on ALL hours worked unless you are being paid a flat rate.

None of this conforms with my industries "Award" so where do you get it from?

each company is entitled to have there own Enterprise Bargaining Agreement and have there employees sign and adhere to that ... i just quoted industry standards and common sense.
Salary means an amount of money paid per year regardless of hours worked ... you ear 55k a year on salary then you earn 55k a year wether you work 40 hours a week or 50 / 60 hours a week.
A wage indicates you get paid a base of 55k per year PLUS penalty rates on any hours worked over the standard base of 38 hours ... depending on how much over time you earn there is OTE 65-80k ect ect
Bunnings for example makes employee sign an EBA that entitles them to use any hours worked in "overtime" period as Time in Lieu and they can acrue them and take them off instead of annual leave ... and weekend work is paid at regular hours instead of penalty rates
im sure there are 1000's of different EBA's out there with different rules.

part of the induction @ water corp is how to dig up copper and replace it with MDPE while bokking out 50mm copper as well
You mean cutting up the copper to sell to their uncles scrap yard.
This is why I get worried about advertised jobs without a job attached ;)
Id consider it to get some hours of life back, but not for that money.
Saves an un nescessary application and waste of everybodys time.
but thank you for disclosing rough income :)
