Gents,

My modem has decided to start failing... need a new one that can handle:
4+ ethernet connections, multiple wireless connections (5+) and be stable / fast.

Previous / current modem is the Belkin N1 (what ever top of the range one)... just randomly now dropping wireless/lan connections.

So, which one is good and is stable as all hell?
Go!

Check to see if a firmware upgrade is available for the modem. I had the exact same issue with my old Belkin N1 of it randomly dropping wireless connections - firmware upgrade solved it and never happened again.

Fail that just get in touch with Belkin, they're more than happy to replace/repair.

No it isn't.

MIMO refers the Wifi capability of the modem.

Belkin have lifetime Warranty.

Take it back to HN and they will give you a new one.

When it happens again, Rinse and repeat.

I had a Netgear Rangemax DG834PNAU that had similar issues with large throughput, bogging down when giving it a thrashing (99% of the time). Replaced it with a DrayTek Vigor 2820Vn and it's been rock solid.

Yes it's a tech term, and I use that VERY loosely, but Belkin are the ones who have adpoted it for marketing. Same way NetGear use RangeMax .etc

It's just 802.11n.
