Well Im stumped what to do with the Leather in the borat, it has little hair line dirty cracks in the leather and really needs a good clean. Seems to have some dirty marks in it from dirty clothes and wot not. I purchased some maguires leather conditioner and it didnt do shit, same with the autoglym stuff.. Its like I need some sort of leather conditioner that is a tan colour that will re-colour the leather.

I was thinking of using a boot polish and using a boot brush to apply, but then got me thinking if a chick jumps in wearing white she may get covered in brown stuff all over her ass, might not be very happy.

Its just been a while since its had a good clean and I think it would come up looking like new if it has the right product and method used.

what would you guys suggest.. its tan leather.

its more so that dirt has taken hold of the cracks making them more noticable, I dont THINK its missing any surface of the leather but its hard to tell unless its clean in the crack. You can tell for sure the crack is dirty.

You need to use a leather cleaner, and THEN a leather conditioner, most new car manufacturers sell a kit with both in it, it's good stuff. There is probably an aftermarket equivelent, but never bothered to look.

Perhaps try some furniture shops for the stuff they use to maintain leather lounge suites? I know when we got our latest leather lounge, we had to purchase some cleaning and mainting kits to keep it in decent condition and protect it from dirt/sun etc, Worth a shot?

alright when i got the new daily i did the following:

- ripped the seats out

- vacuumed to get any lose shit off

- get some warm water and clothes fabric softner into a bucket and wash them over with a cloth or old t-shirt etc, and then have another bucket of water and a rag to rinse them. do this as many times as you feel necessary. you can use a nail brush etc so clean the stitching on the seats/steering wheel to get all the dirt and grime out (makes a big difference on the steering wheel, after you do this is feels so much newer and cleaner).

- then clean it all with a proper leather cleaner

- then condition them with a good leather conditioner.

worked well for me :)

^^^^ What jaybee said is basically similar to what we do at work for dirty leather seats and then hit them with the leather supplement after they are clean.

for real dirty leather:
vacum, warm soapy water then i use a swisswax kit that has a cleaner with brush, leather milk conditioner and then some synthetic fat for a finish.
sometimes need two or three goes with the cleaner and brush if its dirty

the third one i use on my car regularly as i got my car new and looked after leathers from day one are some leather wipes from a mate who is some leather expert/engineer. produced the wipes for Jag, Land Rover etc back in the UK
