Plus tax, plus duty, plus shipping.

Still cheaper of course, but not the absolute bargain of the century.

its not bad.

the rims should be sent in individual packaging (due to ems limits) therefore in theory you shouldn't be tax as each rim is value under $1000.

Nengun have both the LM-GT4 and TE37 in 17inch for $700 each which is pretty good value as RAY's sell them for ¥70,000 each with current rates makes them $875.

The killer is shipping for some reason nengun doesn't offer sea which for a set of 4 rims is only ¥27,350 compare to ems which is about $700-$800AUS

So a set of 19" TE37s is going to cost close to $4500 landed and even more in optional Diamond Gloss Black, without tyres?

Customs will still ping you for duties unless you get Nengun to get them invoiced/sent to different people/addresses

Depends

i have had many rims sent by EMS from japan(+5 sets now). Touch wood everything has been fine as each package has its value on it.

i guess its more the luck of the draw than anything

19inch TE37 are around 90,000yen each (give or take alittle depending on size and offset)

nengun has them are $862 each, so yeah around $4150 without the optional Diamond Gloss Black (i think its like an extra 5,000yen a rim or something)

Is cheap when comparing it to normal price which is like closer to 5k (depending on exchange rate)

Even comparing to trader on SAU http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Japanese-Wheels-Arrive-t308157.html

- Volk TE37 19" to suit GTR's. 19x10.5+12 in bronze BRAND NEW RIMS. $4800

still cheaper but not 40% cheaper.

I have a feeling its just nengun doing a discount which means there won't be HUGE saving as they still need to make some money, i think even at wholesale price the 19inch TE37 only drop to around 80,000yen each (will have to double check).

I say you get better deals if the yen was 1 = 100

edit: better off buying from yahoo
http://page21.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/j95219652
BUY NOW 260,000yen around $3250 AUS (im using 1aus=80yen) plus $350 for sea shipping (6 to 8weeks)

looking $3600 plus buyer fee etc so i say be easy to get it at 4k landed

confuzion

4k for rims is just rediculous.. let someone else spend the money and you buy them 2nd hand... or Rota ftw !

Yep, Just do what I did.. buy your quality Jap rims off a Lebo in Sydney for a fraction of the cost.

They were dirty and had been spraypainted on the inside of the rim to cover up the brake dust, but hell.. nothing a bit of elbow grease couldn't fix :D

Rays rims get shipped in boxes in pairs. Mine did anyway. Shipping is about $200 a rim.

It can take time (Like months) to get your rims. I was spitting chips waiting so long but when they did arrive I saw the build date on the rims was the same month that they were shipped which meant that Nengun were waiting on Rays to make the damn things.

interesting, i was under the impression that they could only be shipped as one due to size limits with EMS.

still i rather pay only $300 for 4 rims and Wait 6 - 8 weeks than pay $700 for 4-6days. Shame nengun does offer sea shipping
