UPDATE: POLICE INCIDENT MITCHELL FREEWAY, LEEDERVILLE
Main Roads advises that two right lanes are currently blocked outbound on approach to the Leederville Train Station due to a Police incident.
Traffic is very heavy and building quickly from the city and the Northbridge Tunnel exits through to the site of the incident.
Public Transport Authority also advises that services on the Joondalup line have currently been suspended between the city and Stirling Station. Buses will be replacing trains for stations in this area.
Commuters should allow extra time if planning to travel by train this afternoon.

I knew something was up when I walked past the traino in Murray St Mall and it was closed off.
All commuters were being turned away and redirected to the Bus Station by Transit Guards.

East Pde to Leederville station took 1hr. Some clown in a Black SS was revving his motor and chucking skids and screaming hurry up, like that makes a difference.
Silly sausage got squashed by train, looks to be tangled up underneath the middle of first carriage.

Ah fuck, for some reason I thought FWY into Perth would just be shit. Just realised that FWY North starts where I jump onto Loftus, and would also be shitty. Ah well, I'm not leaving any earlier, if I'm an hour late so be it.

I didn't, but I was just pointing out why the media doesn't (or shouldn't) report on such suicides.

I think in this case the body was either stuck up underneath or all over the place. Two fire trucks trying to obstruct the view, lots of towels for a make shift shelter, lots of police cars, undercover cars, emergency cars etc.
It would be rough for the driver, but the passengers would of had to get off and walk past it all. Shocking!

Not at leederville - the exit was total other side of where it was all going on.

Still knowing that your walking past someone who is all over the tracks. Train wasn't fully pulled into the station, so you'd be exiting over where it was. People in the front carriage would have had a birds eye view.
Fuckin traffic.. piece of shit pingpingpingpings fucking everywhere...
Normally takes me 11 mins to drive home to my house which is in the awesome NOR and very close to the city, and today it took me 15 mins!

Ah no
The way the station is with its covering would have made it hard to see.
It sucks to say but we have a pretty good view of the station from work.
Denver
05-10-2010, 11:41 PM
No one on the train would have had to see him, half of it was in the station so all everyone had to do was walk to the front of the train and onto the platform..
The guy was well and truly under the train, so no one on the train except maybe the driver would of seem him go under.
One thing i did find disappointing tho, while the fireys had slapped tarps up to block the view, they saddly didn't cover the view looking directly in as you went past the scene on the freeway, seeing ther victum wasn't exactly on my list of things to do today, dunno if there was body parts on the freeway think it was more the fireys trying to create a safe working enviroment as there was piles of emergency services people there as you can imagine..
Saddly people ending up under trains is pretty much a weekly thing here, in the tubes in London its daily, kind of a selfish way to go if you want to check out as it affects so many more people than your direct family..

when the traindrivers were being carnts and striking, everyone was down on them... i tried to explain to my friends the kind of crap these plods have to deal with on a weekly/monthly basis.
i for one woudln't fucking do it, not for the money they get anyway.

Its a pretty scary thought that someone felt they had no choice but to end their life.
Its not as black and white as some of you guys seem to think it is.
Having been fucked over with depression my whole life i can understand the mindset. He obviously didnt give a fuck about delaying the trip home for you guys because he didnt give a fuck about anything.
You guys arent dead. Shit, a little understanding goes a long way. Its a shit circumstance for all involved i.e Train Driver, Passengers, Family, Witnesses, Victim.

Working at kings park ATM, DNA tower jumpers happen a few times per month apparantly. The kings park ranger get a additional payment when they have to clean up the footpath after. Not a good place to do it, fall isn't big enough to kill you instantly(unless you hit head first) most die from horrific injuries over the next few days.

Most suicides are rediculous IMO.
I did know a bloke who took his life, I dont frown on him for what he did though.
Was diagnosed with Multi Neuron disease in his mid 50's, and for a good 5 or so years he went nuts (In a good way).
Went to Thailand every 2 months and rooted till his dick was blue, played golf as much as he could until he was unable to due to his illness.
Made sure his wife and family (and girlfriends in Thailand) were all set up cash wise.
Went down to the beach on a summers night and OD'd himself on painkillers whille drinking a bottle of plonk watching the sunset.
