Alright so I've got myself a yellow sticker and need to be going over the pits shortly to try and remove it.

Main problem being the car has an RB25DET in it now where as from factory it had an RB20DET.(R32) Also wanting to rego it as a 2 seater and possibly get the half cage engineered while I'm at it.

So my question to you is, have any of you used an engineer for these sorts of things? I Know there is a list of engineers on the DPI website I can use but I'm wanting to here from people's personal experience's. So if you could post any of your experience's here.

xx Mitch.

the homos at the pits most likely wont even know that its a 25 , just act like its a 20

If anything they may check the engine number which would be different.
Just fill in a change of engine number form and say its the same capacity (provided it hasn't got 2.5 stamped on it instead of 2.0) ?

you can just change the engine number, but make sure you do it before it goes over the pits.
if you're going to engineer it for other items, then doesnt really matter.

Yea going to change the engine number and see how that goes. Then remove cage, diff, seat, suspension arms and all the shit that the licensing department wont like and see how we go then.

Probs better to just get it engineered once and for all and be done with it - removing that gear sounds like a fair bit of work, and if you have to do it again later on...?
