Just spotted 2-3 police cars doing bog laps of leach hwy near the maccas in Myaree.
They are pulling over ANYONE they can. Have so far witnessed a Silvia and a bunch of other standard card being pulled over in the space of a few mins.
AVOID if you can.

glad to see our tax dollars are going to good use =/
What are they doing doggy - just pulling up behind cars and pulling them over?
Or are they maybe speeding down the hill from Freo?

Ahh yes, the old coppa bog lap.
They do the same on Dixon Road in Rockingham. Two unmarked blue wrexxy hatches circling pretty much all day/every day.

They're so bored they're even going through the carparks in the area giving out yellows as people walk back to their cars from the shops.
Saw and old woman in a Daewoo getting a yellow after shopping at Spotlight.
Good to see the pigs are making themselves useful.
Fuck me that is full dog acts.

Bet they are doing this because most cars on the road now are newer and more road worthy so they have to go looking to give yellow to keep up the tally that they were doing 5 yrs back dirty pingpingpingpings

Good to see , hope they come n do that around here
They have been doing it at night in canning highway as well.
Cops set up on each side of the road at wireless hill, plus cars patroling up and down. Going home last night at about midnight there was 4 cop cars all with people pulled over in a 2 km stretch.

Not jumping at cops defence, but perhaps the car really wasn't in a good condition? I'm all for them targetting unsafe shitters, if they are indeed unsafe shitters. Doesn't matter if a grandma is driving it... can still do you a lot of damage if her brakes fail or tyres are really bold and she rams into you etc.

In other news, it's now safe to rob most houses in suburban areas whilst the owners are working. No need to worry about the Police, they are out in force on the roads.

You realise traffic and general police are different and dont like each other therefore not want to help each other?
They've done this for years, probably bored or sargeant has asked them to sweat the area.

Well yeh, but the point is that there should be more general police patrolling etc rather than traffic.

I was just driving home from work and I saw 2 highway patrol cars on Leach. 1 did a u-turn near maccas, so they might still be doing laps.

Very true. Know of a cop who did a brief stint in traffic - he transferred into a different area when there was a radio call of an armed robbery around the corner, but the more senior cop with him preferred to stay on the side of the road catching speeding motorists.

and yet all you tough guys who hate cops will ring them if you get assaulted/robbed anyway.
They aren't all bad and even they know how bullshit it is. As said the traffic cops aren't liked by their brethren and the normal cops who turn up to break ins/etc wish they had more time/resources to patrol the streets.
Blame the powers higher up who turned the "force" into a service which needs to pander to the governments budget and raise revenue for them.

Summoner,
its true, us cop haters would call up if we were getting assaulted / robbed etc...
but the conversation would go like this :
"Hi, Just wanting to report a gang of hoons doing burnouts at XX location , a lot of them are drinking and i think they may be smoking drugs"
bam , cops there in a second.

I don't dispute that. What I am trying to get across though is that not all of them are bad and unfortunately it is due to the traffic branch that most have a bad rep be it directly or indirectly due to lack of allocated staff/funds.
Only reason I bothered to ring them after a recent break in was so could give the report # to insurance but after talking with the cop he mentioned that the more that gets reported the stronger case they have to get more patrols happening in the area and since then I have seen more cars actively around.

Most people on here are not talking about any other cops BUT the traffic cops. I have no problem with the Police, with the traffic ones though I have my opinion.
On the plus side - if you subdue an attacker/intruder and call the cops, just say "if you are not here in 5 minutes, bring a bodybag" - watch how quick they get to your place!
