Hey people. I had my block cleared a while ago and im left with a rather large pile of wood. Most of it would be good as firewood.
Anyone know of people that take this stuff away that doesnt cost thousands!

Cheers

Brett

Voly fireys came out and said they cant burn it, caus it would be burning for about a week...
And I cant afford the fines from the enviro people if I did burn it!

are u in town of kwinana?

you should be allowed to burn off 1m3 of plant waste any time up until the end of this month, after that you'll need a permit.

grab a few mates + cannies + petrol = hav yourselves a bonfire bru! :)

Yeah its in K-town. Theres more like 8m3. Its slowly getting smaller. By the time there is an amount left that I can burn it will be fire ban time!

Thanks so much Mstyle! We ended up getting an entire Dmax-full, made for quite an interesting drive back up the freeway. Couldn't fit all the chopped stuff in.
The pile there is huge! Still taller than a house.

By the way, what size is your block? It looked very nice :)

Great skills picking it all up! Went out today and choped more up.
The block is 2 acres. Plenty of room for a big shed!

If you don't mind me asking, whats the prices for land down that way? Driving down the road, I was honestly falling in love with the area! Why people spend half a mil to get a 3x2 on a 400m block in filthy Clarkson instead of 2 acres the same if not less distance from the CBD just astounds me...

An old 3x1 on 2 acres down the road sold for $705,000 a while ago. A 4x2 usualy are around the 800 mark.
Nice and quiet at night! Bandicoots and big sheds.
Next freeway exit down you can get 5 acers for $500,000.

TIP:

if ur still left with a pile by the end of the month, start with a 1m3 bonfire, with a big-ass log/stump in the middle.. it will burn for aaages. u can get thru 5m3 EASILY if u keep it burning overnight.. :)

CSB

im on 5 acres just north of anketell rd.. plenty of room for 2 houses, a big shed, several smaller ones, pool, tennis-courts and still leave mostly natural bushland.. 20 min to the city and right near train line!
