Its been built as a GNX tribute car of which only 500ish were made.

Its got fully built 3.8 V6 thats been stroked, full mains girdle, h beams, roller cam and rockers, GN1 alloy heads, Champion aftermarket inlet with T62-1 turbonetics huffer and front mount cooler.

hasnt been on dyno since build up. they use chips most of the time they have been doin them so long now they tell them what the specs are and they send a chip to suit. will be dyno'd and retuned when it arrives to suit 98 octane

Awesome car Sean, I've always loved these things as they were the true pioneers of high performance turbocharged street cars. They use to have a drag racing bracket in the states just for these cars and some of the biggest names in turbocharging circles cut there teeth racing and building these things. You'll have to bring it down for a look when you get it on the road. Have you seen Dave's new Chevy Impala pimp mobile with the full hyd suspension yet?

the dash is different with individual gauges too.std they had a speed that swept across dash.
the GNX,s were helped along with development help from McClaren

Its a factory turbo car should be interesting but its not over the top either.the gates plumbed back i guess time will tell. may have to get a amber indicator on the back. maybe leave a cooler pipe 1/2 off and go over pits n/a spec ; )

I remember seeing the one you're talking about around 8 years ago at West Racing copping a bit of love.. I was drooling hard over it then and I still do now, they are one of the toughest cars to ever come out of the USA.

reading betweens the lines and talking to importers and people who do this more than the average person. Kit cars and Hot Rods are the main target in regards to trying to cheat the 15yr ruling. in the states if you build a 34 coupe they will title it as that even though it was built yesterday and has no original 34 parts in it other than it just looks like 1. same as kit cars like their DOTAR poster car a 1964 spec AC cobra kit car that was built in 05 isnt allowed under the 15yr rules. my car is a factory built turbo car thats over 15 yrs old and ive submitted the required pictures and crap for my application which was approved so it shouldnt be a hassle other than a few compliance requirements to rego

the headers were crap the gate was too small and there was no room in front of the turbo so it got hot air straight off the radiator. the turbo position now is pretty much as they came out from factory.
