Recently moved into a new house with some mates and their boxer (noose) with my ridgeback x that thing of ice age thats always chasing the nut.

anyway, was in the shower the other night and heard bulk yelping, get out to find a decent amount of blood leading down the stairs.. get down to find both dogs attached. but facing seperate directions....wtf u might say, as did I.

upon closer inspection i realised the boxers knob was balls deep inside mine and seemed to be stuck...WHAT THE FUCK? call the vet, apparently its pretty common.. i dont care it fucking terrible!

anyway im guessing my dogs def preggas now as its happend again like twice. everyone works full time so i dont know if we can look after puppies, what do u have to do? does the mum just take care of everything? is a doggy abortion an option?

My female dog that had pups 3 weeks back still lost bulk weight

When shes looking like shes about to pump the pups out give her puppy milk in the mornings (if you can)

When they have the puppies they handle everything including eating all the gunk and shit.

Mine had pups while i was in Bali and my bro who was house sitting was at work.

Since then we give her 1ltr puppy milk everyday and the supercoast biscuits and normal dinner

Don't stress its a 1000x easier then i thought it would be and i got 11 to deal with... First litter is always the biggest... Mine actually had 12 but 1 died a couple days later

Easy option - desexing.

Stops the menstrual cycle they have (my old dog had a period for 2 weeks, can you imagine cleaning up blood for 2 weeks???) so gave her the snip, no problems. No puppies to deal with.

Personally - I think all dogs should be desexed as soon as they can and be chipped with breeding only allowed for qualified license holders/breeders...

dogs getting stuck happens all the time. the female gets scared/hurt and clenches and the males dick gets locked in until she calms back down...
not a nice thing to see if you own the female dog though!

go get her desexed.
as mentioned above, less bloody mess when shes on heat, and you arent bringing more dogs into a world where too many are put to sleep already.

by getting her done within the next 2-3 weeks, if she is preggers there wont be any extra charge. but if you wait until she is bigger then they charge you heaps more for an abortion and the desexing.

Same thing happened to my g/f's staffy and staffy x
We heard yelping, brother went out the back, they where stuck and trying to get away from eachother (ass to ass lol).. had to *pull* them apart. Pretty funny, but seriously rank and painfull looking.
Girl got knocked up, 10 puppy litter (first time was meant to be 5 or 6 pups...), took about 3 or 4 months before she popped. First puppy came out 7am and last one came out bout 6.40pm.. that was a long day helping deliver puppies in the shed, and possibly the most disgusting thing i have ever done..

We didn't have to take any extra care of her. Just normal feeding and exercising, and cleaning rank-ass dog milk left on the couch lol.

When ever we asked the vet what we should do, they told us we couldn't do much and to just let nature take it's course.
