Perth resturants - list of offenders

Email doing the rounds today. Hope it's not a re-post.
Some might remember articles a few months ago about the public health fines issued to a few places around Perth, particularly in Spencer Village.

Whenever this list comes out every year, I inevitably discover I've been to several of the listed places. Every time!

Some of those offences are farkin stupid though..

i.e. Saidoun Bakery got done for "Bread delivery left on ground". So basically, its nothing to do with their premises and has to do with their delivery to another premises.

With my family being involved in the baking industry for 53 years, I can safely say that there is sometimes no choice but to leave the delivery on the ground. When we do this, the box is lined with plastic and wrapped up and taped up so nothing can get in.

The Health Department has wrangled with us for years over this, but they can't do anything about it because we take all attempts to ensure the product is as safe as possible.. obviously Saidoun didn't do it properly, but the moral of the story is, its fuck all really.

ON THE FLIPSIDE, Top One Bakery.. $20k fine for cockroaches in food. NICE.

haha our old work friday arvo lunch place - Jade Seafood in Northbridge got done. They're closed now.

speaking in generalities azn shop owners = people who like to DIY + don't believe in health and safety, we get a lot of call outs to shops with azn gents who have decided to do there own electrical work and such. + like to try and fix there own appliances :P

i am a fiend for dim-sum and Thai food and have been for a while but i do worry about some peeps without the iron gut procured over time eating at these kinda places.

ps. Wagamumma's should be on there the amount of times i see cockroaches running around there kitchen :S

Scary shit some of it.
I've eaten at Penang Cuisine in Spencer Village probably 20 or 30 times over the last 4 years. Quite often when I used to visit a client that was only a street away.
Couldn't taste the vermin at all....but certainly not going there any more now!
