You find 9 times out of 10 your usually reading offending forum posts as if they are directed at you.. Too many people take things the wrong way and then take any replies to your defence/stance on the subject matter/general attitude towards a topic as a personal attack.

If its gotten to the point where someone is "calling you out" its because of a series of miss-interpretations and a lack of understanding..No decent human being lurks a forum trying to pick an IRL fight.

Meet these people in person without an avatar and witty user name and chances are your going to interact with them just as you would with any other person. Some people just get empowered by the anonymity of a forum and are really all talk.

I've been in a situation where some people thought it would be smart to rag on my brother and his business and defame him as a person and as a workshop owner. They spread bullshit and malicious lies about him and then me because I got involved in a thread...

Funnily enough, I just happened to meet them one night, thanks to another forum member and I introduced myself and the rest is history along with half of their teeth :)

To this day though, people still talk shit about me or other people they don't even really know and the internet has made it easy for them to be faceless wankers hiding behind a screen name and if they actually met you in real life they would shit their pants or on the otherhand they might realise you are a decent bloke after a conversation.
