Hey guys this has been awhile in the build so i thought id share its progress so far,
Its a factory ex police 1986 vl berlina turbo, I brought it of a family friend totally stock as a rock. with the exception of fully sik vt ss rims and a larger exhaust,I had plans to mod it before i even picked it up,Picked it up give it a bit of a polish up and drove it around stock for a couple of months. then pulled it of the road for the mods to begin.

I started the mods by orderin a powerglide transmission, 5000rpm dominator converter, then followed by a microtech,custom cam,to4z.china manifold,turbosmartgate,
rajab plenium,850cc injectors 2x 044 fuel pumps, we installed these parts over a month or so to the unopened rb30et, got it fired up late one thursday nite sounded super tough.We had a couple of days to tidy up some small things before it got dynoed.

I got the car dynoed by Craig dyson of dyson rotary hes been a family friend for years. the combo i put together was kinda guided by his advice. So we filled it up with roo16 race fuel.strapped it down on the dyno. first pull it broke a strap and nearly come off the dyno so after re strapping it craig gave it another run. the car stood straight up and screamed, really strong dyno pull was really happy with it. sounded like it made around 350 to 380 rwhp. couldnt beleive my eyes when the screen said 502 rwhp. couldnt stop laughing poor unopened 251000 kay old rb30et made that power. he did one more dyno run to make sure everything was sweet. it run up 504rwhp. i said thats enough. so it made 504 rwhp @27psi boost. still climbing at 7600rpm(for all the dreamers that say sohc rb30ets dont rev there doing it wrong)

I raced it at the hitec titles 2009 had a few issiues with it blowing cooler pipes of ect. the last run i got for the day it all held together and run 10.1@134mph would have run a nine if i had another go at it.
so the andra ban police were waiting for me after that run.

Agit8td pics are about 3 weeks old theres a lot more done to it now sheetmetal ect. its got a chromoly sheetmetal diff built by final drive. which is just getting finished off now. gota make up a manual clutch linkage because in running a slider clutch, hydralic dont work properly with them.
im hoping to run it at the western nationals in march, got a few bits left to do gotta make up front hubs for the spindle mount rims, lexan windows, wheelie bars. the painting will get done last. the paint will be upto standard with most show cars as i work at a panel shop.

hey simmo the box is a light weigth magnesium case prostock liberty transmission, with a titainium bell housing, usally can pick them up with a slider clutch for around 18k

awesome dude, is it close to being tech'd?

john you could run fat street rubber on that, bolt on a full exhaust etc. it might not cruise too well at 100+ with the glide? but you could take it for a squirt. once you get caught though, it would be time to deregister haha.

yer the write up in the paper give it away. its a fully built 2jz,hypertune plenium ect ect, should be making some where in the vicinity of 1200+hp on roo16, ive purchased all the best quality parts money can buy, i want to be able to run this car thru out the season without failures from skimping and buying cheap parts, also at 180mph i want everything to be perfect for my own saftey also,

Whats the go with modding the stock headgasket if you dnt mind my asking? Opening up the metal layer in the water/oil?? gallerys?? I built my own motor (OEM toyo HG) with out any being able to talk to anyone with any real experience with 2J's so its probably not the last time i'll build one..

Any pics of the GAS gear... I didnt realize they did low volume one off gear aswell thought it was just Titan gear.

my blocks o ringed so as far as i know they fly cut part of that to suite them, i havent looked closely at the headgaskets ive got compaired to a standard one just made sure they were there then put them away, yer il proberly be checking my engine quite often just cause im fussy as fuck and its gotta be perfect, i havent got any pics of the parts yet man il definatley get some thou,

its got a gas modifyed factory pump, itl be wetsump while its on r100 16, when we switch it to meth il change it to dry sump, on meth il be using a peterson external belt driven pump and i can stack extra sections on the pump to run the dry sump, all the boys in the east say electric meth pumps are use less and even the best ones are only good for n/a engines,
so belt driven is the go.
the injectors(from gas motorsport) il use on meth run over 100psi base
pressure

i can move slightley on the gummtree price. all the tinworks finished
