exhaust system with stock end muffler

Planning on upping the boost slightly on the 7M-GTE, got air filter but will need to introduce a turbo back exhaust system, but dont want to make the car look modded. Has anyone installed a 3 inch turbo back system and kept the stock muffler? anyone know if you need to replace it with a hi-flow muffler or whether it can handle higher flow? also what setup's have people used to have the exhaust noise to a minimum.

stock front mount on this is not too small, should handle up to 10psi? its running 5psi at moment stock (manual versions run 7psi i think)

they can handle a bit higher than standard, and you can make good power out of some exhausts, but unlikely on any 7mgte car.
It will have a baffled read muffler, which will make it nice and quiet, but defeat the purpose of upgrading the rest of the exhaust.

Best bet is go 3", but instead of using a straight through cannon, use a baffled rear muffler. Will still flow ok, but knock out a lot of noise.
