This metal pin, was on the plug on the gearbox, when I pulled it out to drain fluid.

It's about twice the width of my index finger. 20-30mm maybe.

Box was working fine last time I drove it.

Anyone care to explain ?

Were you draining the fluid cos there is an issue or just a service?

thats a roll pin, usually used to lock selector forks to their rod

hard to see if its a pin or if its solid (in which case it could be a bearing)

You're lucky it came out in the oil, and didn't get stuck between gears.

FFFFFUUUUUUU.

OK, box coming out this week. Fuck waiting until the weekend.

How hard is it to put that pin back in?
Never opened a RB box up before...something I can tackle myself or just easier to buy new box and sort this one out later ?

just tap it in with a hammer/pin punch - i would use a new one.
