Some photos from Sundays drive to York, out the door by 6am to get a nice traffic free run out there.
X5 M has the twin turbo V8 with ~550hp, 0-100 in around 4sec and a mid 12sec 1/4 mile...not bad for a soccer mum car!!

The second car we had was a Nissan 370Z Roadster, not many photos of that....basically just thrashed it instead. :) The synchro matching system (proper manual but it rev matches on downshifts for you) took some getting used to but its pretty damn good fun once you do!
Karl getting it sideways on our private track.

Good work Jan!
The only negative that I can see with this car is its utterly ridiculous fuel consumption. 27-litres/100km is getting kind of expensive for me.
But then, if you can afford this car, you can afford the fuel.

FUCK 27 l/100k is ridiculous!
Nice shots though Jan ;)
Is there anyway you can turn off the rev matching system if you don't want to use it?

Don't use the clutch ;) ?

Sure is. There's a button just ahead of the gear shift. Hold that down and the little "S" in the instrument panel turns off, letting you know the Syncro Match is switched off.
Not sure why you would, though, unless you want to bring the back end out on compression lockup. It's an impossibility to match the revs better yourself. Having said that, heel-and-toe is still more fun.

It's all about the fun KP :D
i drove the 370z bout 12 mths ago, was quite fun, n i like the synchro match stuff, sound is quite nice!
This and the X6M are the most pointless cars in the world but i still want a black X6, black wheels...nice daily

These cars are confused with sports and off road.

Love the shots, I'm insanely jealous.

I would rather a X5M anyday over a Porsche Cayenne.
P.s. Nice pics Jan. :)

Would've hoped the M version of the X5 looked a little more differentiated/aggressive to the standard version.

It definitely does in person.

You can definitely tell it's a X5M when you spot it's menacing stance in your rear view mirror like i had the pleasure of seeing on GFF last week.

Was leaving work heading over Roe Hwy on Karel Ave when a X5 M pulled out infront of me at the round about.
I was running my motor in so i couldnt have runs with it, but i can tell ya this they aint slow!
Launched hard from the lights and left me for dead, was quite a hilarious site actually
I thought it looked understated, too. Guess I'll have to see it in person..
