Hi guys,

My name is TJ, and I'm new around here. Figured I'd introduce myself.

A couple of years ago, I sold my black Subaru Liberty GX/RS Hybrid. It was quick, and fun, but fragile, and it spent alot of time making me "emo" and "broke"
Before that, I had a 1J Cressida. The thing was stupid fun, and not to slow at all. It had an inane ability to turn tyres into lines on the road and smoke. But it was scary with stock suspension and brakes. Before that, well a couple of RB25 powered Skylines (31/32) and my infamous mundaring wier road special stage master vn.

Anyhow, earlier this year the DPI kindly asked me for my license back for 6 months. This gave me alot of time to reflect. In the same time, I managed to put a year or so's effort combined with a new job and some luck to be able to afford something "decent" again. My strictest condition was that I would not borrow money to have another nice car.

Coming up to getting my license back, and I was dead set on another RS. Had even found one I wanted badly.
Then I remembered - 5 speed, and power = drama. Dont give a fuck what anyone says to me, I know me, and I know it was going to end in tears. I also knew that adding a 6 speed and rear end to a RS was going to explode my budget to beyond a figure I had or could justify. Its a shame as there was one I really wanted, but thats life.

Then I looked at a couple of options.. without alot of success.

Finally, the team from Fabcar stepped in to help me. A bit of discussion and a couple of test drives later, I settled on this....

The specifications of this Camry are

1996 TOYOTA MARK II JZX100 TOURER V
Black - but it really is a black with green pearl in it
1JZ GTE VVTI Auto
73 000km

Dead stock.

I know the car hasnt been modded or molested, so should give me a good base to mod from.

Plans

-some wheels (probably a mesh type wheel.. depends whats around for what $4)
-lowering/coilovers
-seat height
-tints
-debage (its got more badges than a boy scouts jacket)

For now.. thats it. Im going to keep it stock to 1. keep my license 2. Keep it reliable. End of the day its not a race car and im not a race driver so this is more appropriate to my wants/needs.

Don't mean to tease but i have a manual conv kit forsale to suit this.

No idea if its LSD, but it skips the inside wheel turning each way.

So, couple of updates.

Thanks to Bart @ Southwest it has sorted brakes - so much nicer to drive.
Also thanks to Bart and Deluca it now has a working exhaust - my compliance cat melted and the car was making about 11hp - and the entire TRD 3 inch was cheaper than a new cat from an exhaust place!! Gained easily 30hp too :D

Rob @ Volatile sorted some immoblilser love for me after someone else mucked up the install.

Massive thanks to Danny Williamson and his old man in particular for window tint.
