Installing a sunroof will bring the roofline down, not up...
Get a bride/recaro for 'large' guys :D
i think you would need to remove the seat & see how the base mounting points could be modified

rad has a large Recaro in his 14 ... why not try that out to see?
I sat in one on Sat - in Bart VQ 33 - Fitted fine, would happily use one.
But then comes the issue of ensuring rails suit a 100.

your best bet would be to either go for an aftermarket seat thats not too "buckety" perhaps like a bride euro II, and low rail.
a cheaper option would be to see if modifying some r32 or r33 gtr seats/rails is possible to fit toyo, they sit quite low for a factory seat!
The link Skitzo posted is perfect if they make them for toyo.
Like I said sat in Recaro on the weekend, was perfect. But not much use without the rail.

can get rails made up easily enough...
someone has made rails to fit my bucket seats into the 31, which shares rails with diddly squat.

I'll have a look at how the seats are mounted in my car tonight Teej. Will give us an indication on what paths you can take.

after having a quick search i cant find anything on gtr seats in chasers, so im guessing they aren't even close to lining up.
too bad toyo dont really have anything with sporty seats from factory, apart from the supra, but those seats are quite fugly.
+1 custom rails
other brands make low seat rails as well, ie. recaro if you want recaro seats

fugly is ok if i can fit in the thing properly.

haha ok possibly try and source some supra seats/rails? i have no idea how much they go for but they could be in a chance with lining up, just a suggestion!

I'm also interested if anyone knows of a shop that can fabricate rails - or if there is a direct replacement for jzs147 seats(including rails). My hair touches the roof, and my shoulders don't fit into some buckets I have tried.

Do they have height adjustable rails?? (If so cut the height adjustable rail away)
Then weld two bars across the rail runners far enough apart to support the seat redrill holes bolt up the seat and your done

If the 100 is the same set up as the 90, then no love wiht regards to modifying stock rails. Only option appears to be getting aftermarket seat that is side mount.

TJ, if you want to test out Supra seats, I have two sitting in the garage from the wreckage of mine.
Comfy as hell.
Otherwise - Recaro SR3 seats came standard in Supra RZ Series II - if you can find a set cheap enough providing it suits your needs, that may be an option? Though many choose to have them retrimmed due to the funky pattern on them.
I go to Bali tomorrow night, so when I get home I wouldnt mind trying a Supra seat
How many dollars would it be worth to you?
