Need to get a flywheel made up, anyone had any experience with any WA workshops they can recommend?

Also what sort of coin did it set you back?

Pm if you prefer...

Not in perth, but mine cost 800 from PAR engineering in Sydney, through their new factory in Malaysia. Cant fault its quality.

I just sent them the drawings, what clutch height and clutch i was using and what material i wanted it made from.

I had mine made up and delivered from NPC in QLD for $660, I did however provide them the ring gear for the starter motor to press fit onto it.

I couldn't get anyone in Perth to make mine

I had an alloy one made by Alloy Race Components in Melbourne

The steel one I have I jagged on ebay
Undrilled for clutch but drilled for crank ... $31
Then had it lightened and balanced and setup for clutch here

I waited 2 yrs for locals to do it and no-one could manage the job of making a new one even with a sample

Cheers for the input guys, I have contacted: Alloy Race Components, NPC Performance, PAR Engineering and Direct Clutch Services.

Will be interesting to see what they all come back with.

Quick update;

I've gone with Direct Clutch Services in Qld, had best turn around time, great communication/support and competitive pricing.

Turn around times varied from 7 working days - 8 weeks and prices were very varied, NPC being the cheapest at $660inc up to ARC at up to $1800.

Definately a +1 for DCS in queensland.

Billet steel flywheel, reused ring gear off old flywheel that i supplied as sample and to suit 8 bolt nissan crank - $803.00 delivered for both flywheels.

Any particular reason you got one made up?

motor swap from vg30i motor which uses a 6 bolt flywheel going to a vg30det motor which uses a 8 bolt flywheel.

also the vg30i clutch disc is bigger then the vg30det clutch (and tt clutch), and with this flywheel can retain stock starter motor and use stock gearbox, which has same gearset as z32.

(have read info regarding using the stock vg30 turbo and tt flywheel with this box and starter and its a problem. other people have gone with having a flywheel made up and drilled to suit the tt clutches as there's a bigger range on market)

am giving the centreforce dual friction clutch a go with the combo so hopefully holds up alright.
