One of the best eps for quite some time, the snow in Sweden was beautiful, the Veyron is a rocket, I wanna fuck Diaz more than ever and the Senna tribute was brilliantly done.

wasnt it also the fact that if you buy the FXX you cant drive it when you want, only at ferrari organised days? essentially a track only car, if you had enough coin you could buy the veyron and take it down to bunnings.

I am sooo glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. Cruise's lap clearly wasnt fast enough to constitute top of the board. It was entertaining don't get me wrong, but I felt these subtle undertones of selling out and ratings rape, and ESPECIALLY making Cruise out to be better than he is..... great boost in his career too now.

What makes you think the footage is actually of there entire lap that constitutes the fastest time ?
They will take the best bits from 5+ laps and stitch it together to make you think its 1 lap ...
It is after all an entertainment show.

Was it just me or did the Senna thing seem like it might have been part of a bigger documentary that got scrapped or something? It just seemed a very different style to the usual, maybe that was the intention.

Also re the Ferrari vs Veyron...so what if the tyres cost 20k? The whole thing costs 3 million pounds doesn't it? They've probably spent obscene amounts of dollars elsewhere on it to contribute to that time also. And it's all a legitimate road car. The top speed the test driver got was incredible, I won't spoil it but god damn.
Ferrari was on slicks and you can't drive it on the road, end of story.

Don't forget that he's been doing his own stunts and driving for many years, is a bike enthusiast (so he should know a thing or two about lines), and also followed the Stigs lines.

I wasn't surprised by the time at all.

Episode also shows that religious views should be kept well separate from anything to do with cars (read: religious threads on AL). He's a cool guy if you've been living under a rock and didn't get the scientology memo.

from the end clarkson said there will be a movie about senna out soon. maybe thats where the style came from as your right, it was quite different to what they normally do
