Spotted thread

Not sure on what you guys think about this, but if you see a members car parked somewhere & you want to put it in the spotted thread, can you please not give too much detail on the location.

As we know there's some sus people that come on here & this can be the type on info they could use.

just something to consider.

I can understand that. I mean parked at a shopping centre etc, I dont see as a big deal. But I've had a member post up a photo of my car out front of my house before, and that's giving a bit much away. I know my car isn't too flash and all that, but I've had one pinched from home before.

Also, sometimes mentioning numberplates along with a description of their driving style at the time may be pushing it.

I did that once and a member here requested I delete the plate - which I respected - so as to not draw too much attention from the constabulary who might be reading.

Just a thought.

can see the merits in this and with the number of cars getting stolen at the moment it would be better to keep details like that as sparse as possible

Agreed with first post.

Posting a suburb is fine, as most suburbs are pretty big and it's a bit vague; posting a street address is not on thou.

Have had my car spotted and listed at a shopping centre carpark before, wasn't too impressed that the exact location was given (ie: where it was parked, etc)

Spotted this ute on morley drive with race wars stickers, sounds sweet as but i had to hold back the urge to play along being double demerit weekend and bulk cops around. Met up with a mate not far away and its parked up at the same location lol!
