Just stumbled across this... Quite interesting.

thats pretty amazing. But how does it create 'pressure' on the end users hand ?

Lots of tiny devices that are like speakers but not quite the same - they create 'accoustic pressure' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_pressure). From what I've heard, it feels like jets of air, but is still pretty cool.

We even had proper 3D holograms in the first place?

We've had them for a while, but it requires a great big rig to do them properly, you can't just 'project' them into the air, you need to have a big array of lasers on two opposite sides.

Fuck 3D what ever happened to VR? dodgey 80's movies like lawnmower man

Holograms would be cool if it progessed to something found on star trek.
