PS3 save game help

I've been playing Red Dead Redemption and have a saved game on my PS3. I've now got my own copy of the game, chucked it in, but it won't recognise the saved game file on my console and load it up.

I can see a handful of saved files there, but I can't do anything with them and when I load the game it just doesn't recognise.

If anyone could help it'd be appreciated.

i dunno if there is a solution to this? but was the copy of the game just a friends? if there is no solution maybe see if you can give them the copy you bought and take theirs?

Did you change user on your ps3?

3hrs later I return - just started a new game and shot lots of cuddly animals.

Nah, the original wasn't a copy game, it was a game I'd been playing but with a different CD (on my PS3, obviously). Got my own game, loaded it, PS3 installed it, and won't link up with the original save file.

Bummer :/

Heeey, I just checked and mine's region 3. Pretty certain my friend's copy is Aussie 4
