seeing this tonight, hope it doesn't dissapoint. they have made it pretty clear that this is in the vein of Predator 1 & 2, not the AVP series which kinda hurt the franchise

deaths in this movie are described as 'unique' plus the addition of a dog handling Predator and another with some sort of 'UAV' type thing - plus a 'Yakuza' assassin :)

Went and saw it last night.

It didn't do the Predators justice at all. The humans seemed to catch on way to quick.

Both AVP's were better in my eyes.

Brody just doesnt suit the roll. The best part is laurence fishburne.

Wasn't too bad, as said above, the humans caught on a little too quickly, but then most of the characters were ex-special forces, so it's no surprise, nor would it be unrealistic that their characters were highly skilled + intelligent.

Also gives some good insight into the "Predator" race, which I always find really interesting.

ya, not bad at all i thought...if you had your head in the sand (in 1987 or the years after) and didn't see Predator, this movie would be very cool - but alas, not as awesome as the original

the effects have been revised for the better...better camo, better shoulder launch thingos

the russian's lil surprise had me clapping involuntarily...the inability to shoot those dogs with every gun firing was typical action movie fail...all in all, pretty enjoyable popcorn flick

massive props for bringing back almost the original score...even the song during the chopper insert ride from the original!

When the yakuza guy goes 1v1 with the predator katana versus wrist blade did anyone else expect the predator to slide in half after the killing blows? Crazy anime style???? I almost thought it was coming haha.

Ohh and fishburnes cameo in it was awesome.
