[8TH AUG] Sunday Country Cruise

Hey all Im organizing a huge country run in a few weeks time depending on the weather.. It will take all day, so be prepared for a big one, details are as follows:

DATE: 8TH AUG (depending on weather)
START: HOGS BREATH CAFE KELMSCOTT (2938 Albany Highway, just south of bp Kelmscott)
MEET: 8AM
LEAVE: 9AM
DISTANCE: approx 460km
FINISH: MUNDARING KFC
FUEL STOPS: most towns have a BP, so might just pay to top up where possible if need be.

Hoping to be back somewhere between 4pm and 5pm

The map is made i just need to Pre-run it to make sure ive got all the turns and stops right. please let me know if your keen for a rough estimate on numbers, and feel free to post on other forums. any questions feel free to ask aswell. hope to see you all there!

Don't quote me on this me but i got told by a guy who owns and chain of independant servos and it seems reasonable was that bp 98 is minimum 98 rating where others are average 98 so occasionally you might get 97-96 rated fuel...and ping city.

Well ive just got back from the test run, never rely on google maps! haha. good roads, there was one i knew of that was a bit rough but theyve just re-surfaced it in the last couple weeks :)

also, theres a BP at almost every stop except for 1, which has 98, but it isnt BP...

Dude the thousand clicks is gay i just ran my motor in drove all around perth to every corner then to mandurah and back was only 260km

Nice cruise. Feel like extending it a little more, by say an extra 1200k? Drive up with me to Port Hedland hahah. No 98 fuel up there, nor traffic lights. Closest traffic lights and 98 fuel is Karratha.

New alloy radiator goes in tomorrow! Hopefully makes it to malaga with the split top spec radiator, wasnt too impressed today driving home! And i now have a thermo that actually opens which should be a plus on the long haul

Had a great cruise today guys, rode shotgun with Dave in his blue 32 GTR.

What a massive map! But nice roads and decent amount of stops, was great meeting some new faces and cruising with cars I've never seen before.

Bugger to all the guys cars that went bang... I know your pain!

That Fairlane running on 3 cylinders smashing it onto Great Southern Highway was definitely the highlight for me.... not really.... the flaunting of a 2WD GTR was definitely highlight #1

Shame Channel 7 didn't make an appearance...

Looking forward to the next one
