Hey Guys/Gals,

My names Jeff, been a member here for awhile now, but have yet to post. So now my ute is almost finished its most current stage of modifications, i thought i'd start a thread up here for those that may interested in the old Falcon ute.

Basic run-down.

1999 Ford Falcon XHII XR8 Ute (1 of 624 made)

Galaxy Blue - Panel and Paint mods by Dave Cleary @ Gas78 Industries including smoothened rear bar (deleted exhaust and tow-bar outlets), removed tonneau cover hook holes and relocated/smoothened fuel filler to inside tray.

Factory 5spd Manual - T5 removed and replaced by a Tremec TKO600, Y/T Billet Flywheel, Extreme Ceramic clutch, 31spline slip-yoke std Alloy tailshaft.

5.0L V8 - Original 185kw spec engine, modified with the use of AFR165 Alloy heads, Port matched std inlet manifold, Crane 2040 hyd roller cam, Y/T Platinum shaft mount 1.7 rockers and stanard bottom end with new King Bearings and Mellings std volume oil pump.

Exhaust - Di-filippo 1 3/4" 4-1 headers, X-force cats, twin 2.5" Stainless mandrel bent system by Dom @ Prestige Exhausts.

Diff - Std 3.45 LSD replaced with 3.73 gears and new LSD centre.

The car had the above engine engine combo for the past 3 years, running with a 70mm T/B, 75mm MAF sensor and 24lb injectors tuned with a twEECer and made 302.6rwhp and ran 13.3@106mph

Over the past couple of months its been off the road while i've been trying to find the time to fit the Kenne Bell 2.1L Twin-Screw blower i purchased late last year from the states.

The car now has the following mods and is approx 3-4 weeks away from being running.

Kenne Bell 2.1L Twin-Screw Supercharger
80mm T/B
90mm MAF
42lb Injectors
Optima Battery relocated to tray.
2Lt Surge Tank
Bosch 040 External Pump
Billet Fuel Rails and AFPR
3/8" Fuel Supply line
Engine Oil cooler
AEM Water/Meth Injection

Any questions on the car fire away, hopefully be able to get the boat out on one of the future cruises.

Nuff talk, heres some pics. (excuse the quality)

BOMB!

Dark Argents suit this thing perfectly.
With all the power ups and if you havent already done it, your gonna need some bigger brakes!

Who is tuning it?

Good work, keen to see finished results!

Yeh, wasnt sure if they looked like PBR's or whether they were just bigger disks... Excuse my ignorance, also not sure what the standard brakes look like on the X series.

Yeah sorry mate, forgot about the brakes. They are a Race Brakes Sydney kit consisting of PBR 2 piston calipers, 330mm rotors, modified stub axles and obviousy braided lines.
Yes PBR 2 piston calipers arent the best out there, and no-where near, I mean afterall they are standard equipment on AUII Falcons!!!, but us E-series falcon boys are pretty limited to what we can use, especially with our arkward offset. So compared to the std single piston 276mm rotor set-up, these feel like Brembo's!!

Tuning will be carried out by ourselves, i have a mate that can tune the TwEECer thats in the car. So a base tune for 42lb's and 90mm MAF will be loaded, then its onto the street to do the fine tuning.

Heres a pic to show why they are a worthwhile upgrade for us E-series falcon guys.

great example and nice mods.
Decent power for an old 5L as-is, will be bombed with the blower!

Brakes are a big upgrade, and have to remember that these are a fair bit lighter than the newer models so should stop pretty good.

Starting to look more like an engine bay now.

Also mounted my meth/water tank and pump in the tray and finished the wiring. Will definatly upgrade later to an alloy tank but for now it will do.

Pics!!
