Hey guys,
Both my petal boxes are pretty shagged, from previous owner and some very dodgy "re-enforcing welds". I can go down the Nismo route (r32), or for similar money I can pick up a nice wilwood pedal box with resivorshttp://octaneculture.files.wordpress.com/2009/06/pedal2.jpg?w=197&h=300

This would tidy up the engine bay and let me play around with bias allot easier, but my question is , has anyone got a similar system approved by an engineer for road rego? , the car will see plenty of road and track , so the legalities are pretty importaint.

Cheers

A pedal box with balance bar is essentially 2 single master cyls = tandem
So should be cool for rego
However... not with a bias thats controlled from the drivers seat
I know of plenty of cars with them... some even legal

Yeh I would never have the bias controll conected while on the street (*whistles)
Glad to hear that its probably do-able as the wilwoods are a nice bit of kit for the price, my only thought was the pedal area might need to conform to some specs, in terms of contact patch/dimensions , ect.

Edit : from further reading, floor mounted boxes are probably out, probably only allowed hanging firewall ones.

Floor mounted boxes need alot of room
So mods to firewall or seat way back

Mates Torana has one

Wilwood is cheap US stuff... not the bestest quality but suits most

would they have an issue with brake/clutch lines inside the car?
i know they are hard lines, but they dont like mechanical gauges cause of the oil carrying lines inside the car.

Valiants ran the rear brake line thru the firewall and under the carpet

I've never seen a rule to say you can't

Subarus still to this day run fuel and brake lines in the car, from the factory.
