lol thats alright then i just got told this

Speed Camera locations are required to be published, as a notice, because they can't technically take your photo without your permission or notifying you that your picture MAY be taken in a certain area / time. Likewise, red light camera's are sign posted. Speed camera's are MEANT to have a sign before, saying "are you speeding?" (then camera, then sign "anywhere, anytime")

Because handheld radars do not take pictures, they can be set up, anywhere, anytime...without notice or publication.

They're totally random and unpredictable.

So now police would have to inform people where they intend to set-up with the hand held rather than choosing random places

multinovas are supposed to also be clearly marked that you have driven past a camera and also not allowed to be posted at the base of hills....that doesn't happen sometimes....shits getting ridiculous

black spray paint.
hoodie.
run past - spray machine and lenses - run away?

Edit: I meant stationary cameras etc. Not police holding guns lol

And then the cop gives chase and arrests you.

They are hand held so no, that's not an option.

These days we can complain all we like. The solution is simple, yet it's brilliantly effective and guaranteed to work 100% of the time - don't speed. If you have a need for speed, go to Germany or take it to the track.

Once again, these new cameras have something different that radar detectors will not pick up according to Ch7.

Bullshit - they are laser, any decent detector will pick it up.

The only reason speed camera locations are published is because it was recommended "best practice" by the Office of Road Safety. It has nothing to do with permission to take the photo of someone driving past. There is also a very obvious disclaimer on the list of camera locations available to download from the WA Police website that says "subject to change anytime".

multinovas are supposed to also be clearly marked that you have driven past a camera

As above, there is no actual requirement or law.

The report also makes mention of laser jammers. Police they know they are used and one can only assume 'jamming' is on the rise by the fact they've draw attention to it.

It would appear the days of radar detectors being legal are numbered as well. Mind you, we've been told they are going to be banned since the mid '90's.

As simplistic as it seems if you don't speed you won't get caught.

I love his assertion of 'facts' with no statistics to back them up. Guy is a legend in the deception game.

Skaife's road safety report tonight was pretty good, showing scare tactics are doing fuck all. Showed how germany went from 1000's of fatalities in the 70's to reducing it by 80%.
They achieved this by
*Banning parents from teaching their kids to drive
*Turning getting your licence to be like completing a uni course.
*Building better roads
*By changing the arrogant mentality of motorists in regards to merging and right lane hogging
* and by increasing speed limits improving flow

Pretty common sense really but i guess that doesn't make dollars

In Australia religious rights are still fairly well protected. I've heard the idea of getting "Hoon" recognised as an official religion by getting a large group of people to write "Hoon" as thier religion in the next census (the same thing they did with "Jedi")
I think that a religion must also have a place of worship, which could be various tracks etc.

The point of all this? You would also have as a core value of the religion that you believe that having a photograph taken of you steals part of your soul if your not expecting the photo to be taken (thus ruling out them siting your facebook page) and so to protect our freedom of religion and our ability to practice our hoonism freely we must be informed of potential camera locations so we can be doubly sure not to speed in these area's

Problem with laser is that by them time you get the warning they already have your speed.

Wait, is it true that multinovas cant be placed at the bottom of hills.
Occasionally they are placed on Welshpool Rd at the bottom in the median strip, getting people that are heading down...

It's not as simple as that. Depends on how the camera is placed, how far from the base of a hill, what angle the hill is on etc.

I know that.

I guess the news' interpretation is that radar detectors are rendered useless.

Hmmm, you may be onto something there haha. If Jedi and scientology can be a religion, i don't see how this won't pass the crackpipe test. I'm in!! Who do we worship though? Ayrton Senna? Colin McRae? Brocky?

not necessarily... laser still reflects off other cars/objects just like radar does. I have picked up laser from more than 1/2 km away when the cop could not possibly have been targeting me

If Jedi and scientology can be a religion, i don't see how this won't pass the crackpipe test.I see how it won't - Jedi was never a religion, it was just a bunch of people doing a donkey vote. Try actually claiming tax benefits as a jedi and see how far you get :-\

I'm a Christian and I can't claim any tax benefits as a christian either...
