Is it possible to pull these things apart? Warming the car up this morning, I noticed a puddle of fuel at the rear. (Please... no Ford jokes) The positive terminal is pissing fuel out.
The terminal does have movement when you put a spanner to it. I am assuming the seal on the rear is shot. Bloody thing is only about a year old. :(
Is it worth pulling to bits or should I just order another one now?

Yerp. Looks that way. Local hook up's anyone? At least that way if this one goes in another 10 months I can go back and have words. Cheers guys.

Ask BALSAC for one. :)
I think I still have a Petroject account.
Gav, ring Petroject (Automotive Service Solutions) and get a baseline price.
Then PM me and I'll try and remember my account number so you can get a better price.
Can't guarantee it'll be priced good, its the main reason I stopped selling pumps.. I was getting killed by eBay sellers.
Part number is 0 580 254 044

But look on the brightside, if it fails within 12 months again you can throw it at Joes head :)

LOL!
Compensation via coffee will be fine! :p
yeah Petroject (Automotive Service Solutions) is the one
Sorted!
Gav you owe me a coffee out of the La Cimbali :D
P.S. I'm not sure what your installation is like, but make sure you don't install the new 044 with the included screw-in fitting installed in the outlet of the pump.. its made for banjo fittings in some OEM applications (Audi I think), and if you push a rubber hose over the top, you'll block the fitting, kill the pump and have no fuel pressure at the same time!
Unscrew it, throw it out and install whatever fitting your car uses :)
So many people have done this and killed pumps.. Bosch won't warrant them either when this happens.

Yerp NP. I remember binning the first one. It actually does run a banjo fitting. I have used all new fittings to match. Cheers. :)
