You can get up to a 10-15% fuel economy increase with free-running hubs with on-road use, with the added bonus that you don't have to get out of your car to lock the hubs when going offroad.

Expect to see a part-out thread in the next few weeks, because my Pathfinder got T-boned this morning... would anyone be interested in that? Many Pathy owners around here?

I don't have anty offroad gear sorry, was just about to get into that big but only had this car a few months... I'm pretty sure the rims are interchangable with Patrol, stud pattern is the same, at least. All of the tyres are road tyres though...
I do have a swing brace for a spare wheel, but you'd need a similar mounting point on the back.
