Tour #1: The Ultimate F1 Tour - 15 - 22 July 2010
This tour tops the list of “things you need to do before you die” if you have ever wanted to drive super cars along amazing mountain roads in the South of France and Italy, and/or wanted to pilot a real Formula 1 car – but who hasn’t? This is your chance to do both.
7days / 6 nights driving a selection of the world’s best supercars 2000 miles from England to the South of France and back, staying in picturesque hotels and driving some of the world’s greatest driving roads. You will drive each of the supercars on tour with selections from Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi and/or Bentley that we have specially sourced for the journey, with guidance from experienced Australian guides who will ensure your trip is an amazing experience.
Additionally, you get a day driving a contemporary collection of Formula 1 cars at a private circuit near Monaco. Most of these cars are ex-team F1 racing cars.
No previous advanced driving experience/qualifications are necessary – we cater for all driving skills provided you have a valid driver’s licence and are aged over 25 years.
2010 Schedule (TBC) as follows:
Day 1 – 16 July: Tour starts in Kent. Drive through the UK countryside to Folkestone, take Eurotunnel to Calais, then drive through France to Burgundy – route takes us via the Champagne region and the old F1 Circuit at Reims, and south towards Dijon.
Day 2 – 17 July: Across the Jura Mountains to Lake Geneva in Switzerland and then south into Italy over the Col du Grand St Bernard (featured in the movie “The Italian Job”) and overnight back into the foothills of the French Alps.
Day 3 – 18 July: Stunning route through spectacular gorges and epic mountain passes into Monaco including Col du Galibier, Col d’Izoard, Col de la Bonette (Europe’s highest), and parts of Col du Turini– described by the TV Series “Top Gear” as some of the world’s greatest alpine roadways.
Day 4 – 19 July: The Formula 1 Experience in Le Luc – in the early morning, drive the supercars around the Monte Carlo street circuit, then drive the Formula 1 cars around the Circuit du Vary, overnighting in Moustiers Ste. Marie.
Day 5 – 20 July: Head cross-country through Provence and over Mount Ventoux (one of the most challenging climbs of the “Tour de France”) and then drive on the motorway north to Lyon.
Day 6 – 21 July: Lyon to Reims through the hallowed hills of Champagne and Epernay with an evening private tour and dinner at one of Reims most famous champagne houses.
Day 7 – 22 July: Reims back to Calais, then on the Eurotunnel back to the UK then drive to London to drop off the cars. This is the end of this Tour, although those going onto the Nurburgring Tour will transfer to Heathrow.
Cost = A$14,500 per person, based on a minimum of 12 and up to a maximum of 16 drivers

All Supercars, which have all been are proposed to include:
Ferrari 430 - 483 bhp, 319 kph top speed, 0-100kph in 3.9 secs
Audi R8 - 420 bhp, 301 kph top speed, 0-100kph in 4.4 secs
Aston Martin DB9 - 450 bhp, 307 kph top speed, 0-100pph in 4.8 secs
Lamborghini Gallardo (spider and hardtop) - 500 bhp, 309 kph top speed, 0-100 4.1 secs
Porsche 911 Turbo - 480 bhp, 311 kph top speed, 0-100kph in 3.6 secs
Bentley GTC - 551 bhp, 306 kph top speed, 0-100khp in 4.8 secs
F1 Experience, most of these cars have competed in the FIA Formula One World Championships, with some having been point scorers. Some of the cars in the collection include:
1 x Arrows A20 (1999), ex-Pedro de la Rosa
2 x Prost AP02 (1999), ex-Jean Alesi
1 x Jordan EJ11 (2001), ex-Jean Alesi
A fleet of other cars built to FI specs, including:
3 litre, 72 degree V8 Cosworth power, 650 hp, 6 speed semi-automatic gearbox / paddle shift, TAG electronic data management system, Carbon brakes.
• 2 experienced tour guides
• Champagne House tour including dinner and drinks
• Eurotunnel
• Welcome and farewell dinners and drinks
• Comprehensive Car Insurance (except Excess)
• Detailed route maps
• International Airfares from country of origin to/from London
• Accommodation – we have a choice of pre-arranged hotels and room types/rates depending on your individual preferences, subject to availability - allow minimum A$1,500 per person if twin share, with single room or other upgrades extra
• Meals and drinks, except where specifically included above
• General travel insurance, which is mandatory for medivac/emergencies, etc
• Contribution to a “fuel/toll” kitty (estimate of $500 each) to ensure everyone contributes an equal amount.
