I don't agree with him... Car culture may only last as long as cars are in vogue... But considering the common love for making your transport go faster has lasted since people began training and breeding their horses to go better, the community will just evolve to suit. When we all end up driving electric cars as the norm, people will start putting better battery packs in and so forth. It's not as bleak a future as he's painting.
