Basically need the name of a good lawyer who won't charge me for the first consultation but is good at what they do and handles matters within traffic offences/licences etc.

Cheers.

The police officer being cross examined in my trial left during lunch and did not return as he was feeling sick in the stomach. Jeremy's cross examining skills are awesome! :D

Yep, well $110 inc. GST for first consult. He will pretty much tell you if you are screwed straight away. If not, he will get you off cause he knows his shit. Hell, I didn't even have to pay court costs for my whoopsie.

Pretty sure consultation is around $250, not $110ish...
Don't have to pay for consultation if you hire him though, and +1 for him being the best lawyer around town for traffic offences :D

Well I signed the Good Behaviour thing that put me on double or nothing back in January last year. In March I got done speeding and as a breach of my Good Behaviour I was suspended. Whilst on suspension, instead of paying the fine, I chose to go to court.

So did that in October, my suspension started in August and until January, nothing was done about my election for court, so I was still suspended. Finally it was processed at the end of January and mid February I got a court summons. I served the 6 month suspension and pleaded guilty to the infringement. Now they are suspending me again for 6 months over the same infringement back in March because they say that because I chose to go to court, it lifted my suspension. I never received any documents stating this was the case and I served my suspension.

Only problem is I had finished my suspension before I got the court summons and I got my license back. Now because of their incompetence and the fact that I wanted to go to court, wiped the record of me ever being suspended. Now they are suspending me again.

But I have all the proof including process of court election dates, when I was served the suspension letter last year etc etc.

So basically, instead of doing only 6 months, I will be doing 12. That is bullshit and I want to show how much of a farce our justice system and some of these bullshit laws really are.

Link to info of said hoon law charge?

It was in the Sunday Times, was allegedly done doing 150km/h on Beaufort St in his 7 Series BMW and blew over 0.08.

I honestly think the first part is bullshit.
