Yes josh has started filming. ive seen some bits and peices of the series at his house when i was there the other day.

ppl try get behind this as they are going to be exposing imports and other makes of cars in a postive light.

the tv show includes stuff like interviews with local drift drivers, tech/product info form modurcar.com, drifting, time attack etc.

How so? 99% of the members of pss are not motorsport enthusiasts, they are "slap chrome wheels on your ss ute" enthusiasts.

If you take drift out it, which you should because end of the day its a niche motorsport with a small fan/support/competitor base in WA you would help motorsport more by running a track day rather then filming one.

End of the day its a commerical venture, not designed to help motorsport but infact to use motorsport as a means of satisfying commerical desires. I say that with no malice or ill intent, but thems the apples.

Antilag.com does more for motorsport even with the rep of being street raping hoons.

You already have guys like andrew hawkins with motive covering most larger events anyhow.

PSS will be sponsoring Wa Drift from 2011, with there t.v show it will mean that Perth drifting with get coverage on tv and hopfully encourage more business to sponsore drift cars and the event in general.

Small base atm yes but without support it won't grow.

Also i don't think it has anything to do with the PSS members.. if 99% don't support motorsport or aren't motorsport enthusiasts who care. IF PSS T.v covers motorsport events (no-limits day, speed events etc) it is a good thing.

This should be a good thing for motorsport. It's quite simple too, the more coverage you get, the happier your sponsors are. The happier your sponsors are, the more money they tip into whatever it is they're sponsoring.

If the show gets a semi decent following happening and sponsors logos emblazoned all over cars or sponsoring events or whatever get seen that bit more often and by all those people that didn't turn up to the track on the day then that can only be a win win thing.

As much people wank on about "Just because I see it on the car doesn't mean I'm going to go out and buy it" you still know the sponsor exists and that's half the battle for most of the companies that sponsor local motorsport.

As long the show doesn't turn into one great big ad like "The Car Show" with Glen dickhead Ridge hosting it should be good.

I say good on them for giving it a shot. Like everything PSS do it will be commercially based, but it's not a charity, so there's nothing wrong with that.

Jiblet no one has anything against your car mate - it's killer.

But next time you are at a wheel shop. Have a look at a Chrome wheel and if they have any, a good design light weight race wheel.

For most of the people here performance is more important than looks. ( Some just don't like the chrome look. ) But Chrome wheels are usually heavy - steel and break easy. Can't be fixed as they are heated and chromed ect...
Where as a lightweight race wheel is better on the car performance wise and some just like that look better. + Jap wheels with bulk dish = bombed anyway :-)

Edit : Brockas do it.. the car is bombed. And after watching Motive 6 last week. You love being on TV :-)

should appeal to a wide variety of motor enthusiasts in the community. which is a GOOD thing! having a niche market doesn't seem to work as you alienate more people than you embrace.

good on PSS and all who are willing to give their time to make it work. I hope to see the car scene in WA expand in a positive way. and maybe when the general public can see that we aren't the devil, then they will be more likely to listen to us when we want things... ie, money to improve Barbagallo Raceway.

Suprisingly, criuzn (which was aired on access31) was one of, if not the most popular show on the station. Based solely around cars, including DIY tips etc etc. Fascinates me how it got so much support from people I really never expected. Would be great if this could gain similar popularity.
