Looking at purchasing either a Wolf V4 or Apexi SAFC to replace the brain in my R32. Does anyone have opinion on which is more suitable? I've heard they're both very good, with the Apexi being one of the best 'start-up' ecu's around, however it has its limitations? Any experiences with either of these would be appreciated, also any other decent ecu's for under 2K? Cheers all

Power FC, fitted and tuned for well under your budget of $2K, requires Z32 AFMs though I think...

Also dont forget the rom the std ecu option. I would go that over an AFC any day.
AFC doesn't allow you to adjust timing.
If you must go aftermarket, then I agree Power FC.

It would seem that way.
I think its the recent price drop and availability of power fc's also.

pretty much a daily driver, want to get around 350 flywheel kw's, and the occasional blast down the strip, while still using std turbo's, little bit of boost (maybe 1.2bar)

thats pretty much what im doing, but mine came over with n1's & pwrfc already & its pretty farken good. :)
i dont know how much boost you can run through the std turbo's, i thought as much as 1.2bar will shit the turbo's instantly.

1.2 bar is out there for stock terbs. Most will give up the exhaust wheel to the Cat gods around 1- 1.1 bar.
A chipped rom including dyno will cost you $600-$800 but if you want the fiddle ability then a Power FC for around $1800 supplied fitted and tuned will get you there as long as the engine/fuel system is in good nick. You will also need to have some ability to adjust boost

Don't run more than 1 bar on stockers, long term, its not worth risking....

On some occasions it's more than just the turbos that blow.

they can be sucked back into the motor, cause big damage.
