mike, only 10 people over the 2 tracks means pretty much constant driving. pretty much guarantee you`d get more track time in this 2hrs than we did in the 3hrs we had on saturday. get in on it mike.

Bearing in mind it is the RAC driving centre... burnouts and drift is a no no.

hah, yeah there was definately no white falcon utes covering the entire skid pad in smoke on saturday...
keen to come and watch again. :)

its a weekday mitchy so you would have to bunk off work.
and that was one skid, on my track day. i behave on other poeples days (dont panic poombah), and want to get some proper practice in for the Aust tarmac challange, need to make sure i dont come last, which is highly likely.

Again... Bearing in mind it is the RAC driving centre... burnouts and drift is a no no.... it depends on who is facilitating on the day... most people are fairly tolerant as long as you play by the rules and cool it off if you start getting a bit too excited.

99% sure I'll be in. Will know once I get home.
Taking it seriously this time though.
Last one was good fun but didn't learn too much from it.

Yeah its cool, I've been there 3 times before now I think. No static skids are permitted, but a bit of sliding is ok so long as you are in control and don't link up the corners :)

Oh, im not bothered if it's raining.
Personally i'd like to try out my new rear suspension parts in my ute, and see how good the new kuhmo ku36's are.
I'll save you the wait, ku36's are shit.

Agreed.
Put a brand new set of KU36s on my car a couple of weeks ago and not as good as what I had expected. They might be better when they warm up a lot more but at AHG skidpan it was shithouse.
If it's wet then hang on for your life.
Hope it doesn't rain tommorow. Either way, should be fun :)

i disagreee. having driven on many shit tyres i can say for what they cost me they are excellent value for money... i got mine from option 1 garage - $716 delivered iirc for a set of 235/45/17...
Theyre fine for skidpan
Theyre fine for a few laps around a track
Great road tyre
they arent good at countinual laps.. after they get warm they soon get greasy.. but when you look at $170ish a tyre as opposed to $450-$550 a tyre for a proper rcomp... theyre great for beginners or people who want a good daily tyre then can take to teh track without changing wheels.

yeah they seem a bit better then the proxes 4 i used to run on the back and as i was up for new tyres anyway decided to give them ago.
there a 275/35/18 which i paid 360 a tyre for.
Daisy
14-05-2010, 10:54 AM
that seems a bit pricey dude, 265/35/18 ku36 from option1garage is only 240 plus about 20/pair for postage last time i got some. next time your after tyres hit up dean [turbo4L] or option1garage.com
