Li is a master of several styles of wushu (Chinese Martial Arts), especially Changquan (Northern Longfist Style) and Fanziquan (Tumbling fist). He has also studied other arts including Baguazhang (Eight trigram palm), Taijiquan (Tai chi), Xingyiquan (Shape intent fist), Zuiquan (Drunken fist), Yingzhaoquan (Eagle claw fist) and Tanglangquan (Praying mantis fist).

Sounds like more than a "dancer" to me....

Who the fuck goes into a movie like this with high hopes of any sort of acting or plot?
Apart from Bruce Willis the rest struggle to speak english, none are noted for their oscar winning roles, it is what it is.
Going tomorrow night, would be worth the money to see them all on the screen doing fuck all!

Wushu in its common form essentially is dancing, closer to acrobatics really. Not taking anything away from Wushu, shits impressive. It is the laughing stock of the traditional Chinese martial arts faculties though. Zero practical application. It's practical application is like Tae Kwon Do.

It's like Shaolin, most of the west thinks that shit was real. I've broken many hearts informing as to otherwise.

Bagua, Xing Yi, Wing Chun and a few others are very serious chinese systems. But trust me, Mr Li is not a master of ANY of those. Only one he could be considered a master of is Wushu. But Wushu is literally, for kids.

Only guy any of you would know who has any credibility is the real Lee. Bruce Lee. Even he only studied Wing Chun very temporarily, despite what many believe.

Bruce Lee is the only one to have graced western audiences with serious Gong Fu. Jet Li, Jackie Chan, etc... all very visually impressive Beijing actors.

I grew up watching half these guys in their hey day, looking back at their movies now I realised how fucking lame they were, but that doesn't deter me from watching them over and again.

I saw this yesterday and man it was awesome. The Digg at the real life "movie rivalry" between arnie and Stalone was funny.

The funniest thing me and my mate noticed was that EVERYTHING was explosive. I'm talking if they shot a can of coke it would fucking explode!

For example : Wooden guard tower - no gas lines, no oil barrels, just wood. Shot from long rand by an automatic Stryker shotgun. KABOOOOOOOOM.

Now times that by 3 wooden towers!

And then there was the fuel "river" that had leaked and they shot the tank. Instead of one expsion and then the fuel igniting, each individual metre of liquid exploded!

Also another awesome but retarded moment, sitting in the nosecone of the plasne firing the machine guns - Surely they could have just had a button inside the cockpit? I mean sly couldn't see where he was flying and the guns didnt even move up or down!!

EPIC movie and some of the best deaths in movies in years.

Yeah I laughed at the fuel river exploding every few feet, but thats what makes it awesome, the ridiculous and kick ass fight scenes :)

Eh pretty lame if you ask me.

Major let down was the editing, the fight scenes were sweet, but the camera was all over the place, combined with retarded dialogue made it hard to figure what was going on.

That said, I did like the hand to hand fighting scenes, Jason saved the movie with just kicking the crap out of everyone.

Favorite scenes:

Jason VS the dudes on the basketball court,
That chick getting punched by Steve Austin (it was possibly the worlds biggest right hander and all she had was a blood nose)
Throwing knives at pingpingpingpings
Terry Crews just being a bit meathead

Watched this today, and I thought it was good. Went in having only heard average at best reviews, but the action was great, and they didn't really try make a story out of nothing and just went with it.
