It's a long shot, but maybe someone can explain this to me.

My Patrol wouldn't start, it was either three things.

- No Power to the fuel Pump.

- Fuel pump was fucked.

- Immobilizer wasn't working so stopped fuel pump/power.

First of i checked the power at the fuel pump, was reading no volts. I went and checked the fuse, it was fine but i changed it anyway, still no power. So the i found the relay and was getting power there, but i replaced anyway, still no power. I traced back the wires from the fuel pump and found it led to a panel on the side of my chassis, after i chiseled the dry mud of, i checked the power getting to it and it was fine. Followed it some more and found another connection on the left kick panel on the passenger side and again there was power getting there. After a bit of head scratching and confusion i just through another fuel pump in there. It worked fine and started, when i primed it there was power at the fuel pump, the same connection that was showing 0 amps when the broke one was in??

Can anyone explain why there was no power showing in the first place??

when you first checked it was it trying to prime the pump?

had a similar head scratcher before i realised the pump will only be getting power while it is priming

Yep i turned the ignition to prime the pump, but ofcoarse it wasn't priming. Checked to see power was getting there and it was a No. I wasted a couple of hours checking all the lines thinking it was a electrical problem. When it wasn't.
