View Full Version : Where to get LED globes?
Hey all, im doing the interior in my car at the moment and i plan on filling the roof lining with 3mm LED's.
I went to Jaycar to get a rough idea on costs, i was expecting 30c a globe, turns out they want 1.65 each,
which is ok except i want around 250 of them so it soon adds up, anyone know where i can get them cheaper?
This type..

+1 for Dick Smith... usually pretty cheap and have all the accessories for cheap ( ie. capacitors whatever)
so i did a look on the net at DS, and if you want white leds it gonna cost you..
its like $3 from DS : http://search.dse.com.au/search?w=LED&sessionid=4bd2fef204a586e42740c0a87e010711&ts=new

JELEDHK on ebay.
About $20 for 200 or something like that. Have bought about 6 or 7 batches of 200 from them for various projects at work and home and they have been great quality.
Radio Spares also a good bet for such things in ossie park

ebay is your friend! few sellers in hong kong sell them by the 100's for cheap cheap
Thanks guys, i found heaps on ebay.
Now im having a hard time finding them on in the brightness i need, they are all way to bright.
Ill keep searching.
Just got 500 LEDs with resistors for $19.99USD plus $16 freight off eBay.
Better then $85 dollars for 50 without resistors anywhere in Perth.
Thanks for your help guys.
