Please be aware that the Bold 9700 comes in 2 frequencies.. one for Telstra, one for the rest.

As yours is a T Mobile US import, I have no idea which frequency it is.. best you check before someone buys it and it doesn't work on their network.

the one in the picure is just a example, not the actual one sorry.

In that case, what network was it in prior to sale? That will dictate which networks it will work on.

I'll say it again.. its not as simple as that.

Bold 9700 comes in TWO VERSIONS.

- UMTS/HSDPA 2100/1900/850/800 MHz
- UMTS/HSDPA 2100/1700/900 MHz

Telstra Next G is on the 850 MHz frequency.. meaning your 2100/1700/900 MHz Vodafone/Optus/3 Blackberry Bold 9700 won't work on Next G.

I'm told they are backwards compatible though.. all other 3G networks run on 2100 MHz.

I sold mine a few weeks back which was the telstra version which is now working on Vodafone.

I'm not selling! Someone else is if you read the original post :D

I love my 9700.

Steve, they are backwards compatible from Telstra to other networks, but not the other way around.. 3G runs on 2100 MHz (including ordinary Telstra 3G), but Next G is 850 MHz.
