Yamaha MSR800w Subwoofer

This sub goes pretty hard, and also blows pretty hard.

To date, I have spent approximately $1500 on this subwoofer NOT including purchase price, which was around the $1500 mark (RRP: $2000)

The problem? I just blew drivers like there was no tomorrow. And with a original driver costing around $900 each it just got ridiculous.

So now i have installed a 600w driver, with a peak of 1200w (the original is a 500w driver with a 800w peak) I tested it and it sounds good with quite a bit of bottom end. Although i have pushed it hard with the fresh installed driver (Not to clipping point) I do not trust it will not blow this driver too, although it shouldn't, as the driver can handle over twice of the amplifiers RMS power and the other drivers were blown while gigging, which could have been my fault. It should be fine, so long as you don't clip it.

No exactly a good sales pitch, but just so you know its history. The amp has been serviced by EAV and, as above, a higher capacity driver has been installed. A few battle scars here and there, but nothing big or unsightly.

It also has a hi-pass and freq adjust for the sub, so you don't cross frequencies with your other speakers.

Reason for sale (again) I wanted to keep it but I just don't use it enough to justify it taking up space, plus the turntables and cd playes just skip as the bass is too much in small rooms (bedrooms)
That and I already have two Mackie swa1501 subs :coocoo:

$800

Price is firm, as I'm still not too fussed if I sell it.

BUMP. Alright I'm off in 12months to fuck tarts from around the world so starting to downsize all my shit.

These seem to be still going for $1000+ so $750 firm seems fair considering this has a upgraded driver.
