Well had this since just before Christmas so thought id post it as i plan to get it out once i have a few more bits added to it and tidied up some more.
Specs were when i got it
5ltr auto dead standard
and last owner poled it so has a bunky front
Now has
2.5 inch cat back
5 speed manual
17 inch xhp rims (cheapies i know but look ok on it)
cam was in it when i got it
Future plans
Lower thinking of saving and getting coil overs
Respray with new sticker kit
come racing twin throttle bodies
vn letter box grill
get an actual ss front on it
still not 100% sure what i want to do properly to get more power
Was dynoed with 205 hp
and ran a 15.5 on shit launch
Any way here's a pic of it from the side

Thanks mate i haven't really been bothering with the car scene lately but feel like going on some decant cruises once shes tidied up. Pics make it look a little better has a few little imperfections but hopefully will have it fixed up by the end of the year with a respray.
Here's an old interior shot from when it was auto

Looks neat mate. Not sure that come manifold will be worth the pennies unless you're going to stroke it at the same time. As for getting decent power out of it.... set of forgies and lots of nitrous :) not sure there's any real bang for buck way to get the 5L's humming without boost/nitrous.

Another mint vn ss, converted to manual to! Weird the SS steering wheel is gone though... keep us updated
vsstato
20-04-2010, 07:40 PM
AGIT8D later down the track plan to rebuild with a 355 stroker. the ss wheel was in pieces in the boot . i have removed the boat captions wheel and put a wood grain look alike cheapo on till i find one i like that looks good with the rest of the interior.
And this one was found in a guys car port in swan view who was destroying by using it for skids up n down his st was converted to manual as i got it with a dieing auto box. and i hate autos.

PS: bunky front? If that's it in your avatar that's an Aero kit by the looks, one of the nicer VN kits ;)

that's not the front of my current vn that was my old vn manual. but the ss does have that bar on it at the moment. However i want to restore it to standard exterior except rims and lower. to me the aer bar looks out of place on it but will be putting it in the shed for another project.

How did that happen, any ideas? Nearly had one of our own at my place this weekend :s but we got onto it fuckin quick when I realised what was going on (shorted starter power cable to earth while removing a header)

From what we have found the wiring loom dropped down as i was driving onto the power steering pulley we caught it strait away but by the time i pulled over and got the bonnet up the wiring loom was fucked. only thing we had to get it out was sand. so the engine bay is now filled with sand but at least the ss is fixable once i get a new battery and battery to starter motor loom.

Well been a while but finally replaced the Calais grill with a letter box grill.
But it has barley moved in the last 6 months and have been playing with a new toy. Soon may be getting a gen 3 as i have bought one to go in this or my daily VT when i decide to fit it.
also waiting to hear back on a quote for a Detroit locker for it.
