Need a way to get in contact with this guy, he is a jack fuck who has owed me $400 for the last 6 months, keeps saying he'll pay up and has the cash, then backs out.

Need money or wheels from him immediately, sick of this shit. I'm not going to do anything stupid but I'd love to get a more reliable contact method than his mobile number which I have and he never seems to answer.

Visit person with another mate. Take video camera. Get mate to film entire confrontation. Read a prepared statement to said person including accusations on film. The camera will throw him off and you will have evidence of trying to resolve the issue peacefully and without wasting court time.

If nothing comes of it...

you don't need anything in writing. a verbal contract is as good as a written contract. if you have a withdrawal from your bank account for the sum of money or some other type of evidence that goods were exchanged, that's as good as something in writing.

I will have to speak to his boss first anyway to make sure he'll be at work the day I decide to show up, not like all the previous times. I'll mention it, from what was mentioned in this thread earlier I don't think Charlie will appreciate having a theif in his employ.

The old school method is so fucking tempting, the thing that puts me off is ending up in the courts again (I have no record either btw) and being forced to postpone enlistment by ANOTHER 12months or some such bull shit.

Quit screwin around. Don't pay him a visit, it'll just make it worse. Intimidation will not work in your favour.

Put a letter in his letterbox saying you will proceed to small claims court if he does not contact you in 7 days (give him one last chance)

If no reply after then, lodge a small claims case. He will be served. You will get a receipt.

Let the magistrate force him to pay. Simple. (Oh and he will have to pay small claims lodgment fee's, bailiff costs also)

End of story.
