TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST
SEVERE WEATHER WARNING
for Damaging Winds with Locally Destructive Gusts and Abnormally High Tides
For people in the Lower West and Southwest districts, including the Perth
Metropolitan area, Mandurah, Bunbury and Busselton.
Issued at 11:10 am on Tuesday 13 April 2010
A deep low that lies off the southwest coast is expected to cause damaging winds
to 100 kilometres per hour with possible locally destructive gusts in excess of
125 kilometres per hour. Severe winds and thunderstorms are forecast to develop
in the Southwest district during this afternoon and extend to the Lower West
district tonight. Heavy rainfall may result in flash flooding in the Southwest
district. Local heavy falls are possible in the Lower West district.
Higher than normal tides may result in inundation of low-lying coastal areas in
the Geographe Bay area, including Busselton and Dunsborough, on Wednesday
morning.
FESA State Emergency Service [SES] advises people to secure loose objects, move
vehicles under cover and stay inside away from windows. If caught outside find
shelter away from trees, powerlines, storm water drains and streams. Boat
owners should make sure their boats are securely moored. Take extra care on the
roads as flooding is possible. If driving through heavy rain slow down and turn
your lights on or if visibility becomes low pull over and park until it passes.
For SES assistance call 132 500. For more safety tips visit www.fesa.wa.gov.au
The next warning will be issued by 5:00 pm Tuesday
This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureau's
website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 213.

It shouldn't be all that bad in Perth looking at the maps, Bunno might get some heavy squalls, but don't expect a storm like the other week... Hasn't been hot enough on shore for that sort of storm... The system does have a very cyclonic look to it however... But not much on the radar.

I feel like I heard someone say this recently........
Looks like it'll slide straight past Perth and hit Bunbury and Busselton anyway, even if it could do any significant damage to a car.
Bunno might get some heavy squalls
Thats no good..
I can only imagine what its going to be like with a catastrophic storm going through there..the streets of Bunbury are going to have cars flipped over everywhere, rubbish and junk all over the streets, people walking around barefoot trying to determine wtf just happened, people looting houses and shops, it's going to be havoc.

Exactly. The only reason we got such a huge storm the other week is due to the abnormally hot and long dry spell we had, followed by a fairly angry trough... The rest of winter will probably be fairly normal.

This is weather modification. Best source of info is:
http://www.cheniere.org/
From what I have been able to determine there is one of these scalar wave emitters in every
capital city in oz, plus tocumwal, halls creek, mackay, alice springs, sth of the gulf, broome and
some town or military base sth east of perth plus I'm convinced they have a portable device that
is used frequently. What is more incredible and unbelievable is the view of the sky from
anywhere within the range of these things when there is the visible action from the electronic
manipulation and/or the aerial onslaught by aircraft.
Interesting to note that in the last big storm, the next day when we were meant to get another big one... BOM even released the severe storm warning.. That day I noticed, as did a few work mates, a plane fly below the clouds but making very little noise, but left a vapor trail. I tried to take photos with my phone but they looked like a whole lot of nothing.
But after, we were thinking wtf, vapor trail on a cloudy day doesn't make sense.
They were spraying chemtrails.
We're having the weather modified above our heads...

Peak condensation after warm/hot day occurs at mid-afternoon times once it forms heavy enough it results in rain.

lol what you guys got in that storm the other week, we get up here (darwin) almost on a daily basis...
on the bom radar we get right up in the orange/red, and anything yellow is just seen as a "shower"
mind you, up here the councils keep the streets and gutters pretty clear of debris so the drains keep working
we just happened to be driving in perth when the big storm hit and besides the hail, it was very similar to what you have to drive home from work in every arvo

There is a fucking treacherous drizzle here in Yokine at the moment, its completely wetting everything it touches.
A severe breeze is blowing too, to the point where I had to sweep any loose leaves up to prevent them from gently swirling around in my driveway, then settling back down onto the ground again.

Interesting man. Contrail phenomena occurs only at heights above 26,000Ft At temps -40°C (-40°F).
Those who are quick to call contrail can keep that in mind. 26,000 is fucking high. Anyone's guess how high that trail is in the photo... anyone?
Keeping that in mind, http://www.cmar.csiro.au/e-print/open/holper_2001c.htm
UWA is associated with much research on the matter of cloud seeding and practice openly with the CSIRO.
Its done, we do it. Silver nitrate etc. Not saying this particular example is cloud seeding, but cloud seeding is no conspiracy. So... eat a dick joe clueless with your endless unsubstantiated conditioned opinions.
Chemtrails on the other hand... bit different. Pretty loose... but to be honest remains a point of interest for myself...however it must be known there is a significant difference between cloud seeding and chemtrails.

I'm gonna have a go at this one. Contrails occur in cold conditions and the storm was the result of very cold air coming in over very warm air.
The plane was probably flying in the very cold air, creating contrails, while we were in relative warmth on the ground.

Interesting.
Is that consistent with a substantiated understanding or source touching upon Geothermal behavior in the lower atmosphere?
I can see how you could nut that out logically... based on my limited understanding unfortunately i cannot say.
Edit: Upon rereading your post again i think you may misunderstand that there are specific conditions where contrails occur. Not just
Contrails occur in cold conditions
Contrails occur at heights above 26,000Ft At temps -40°C (-40°F).
If your adamant that the trail in the pic is above 26thou however then thats fair.

Cirrus cloud, which is the type you can see in mikes photo is found above 20,000 so yes the contail is up around 20,000ft.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b378/1986fordfalcon/misc-crap/P1070538.jpg
contails don't have to be above 26,000ft, contrary to what wikipedia might say. If it's cold enough to produce cirrus cloud, its cold enough to produce contrails. its no coinsidence that you can see contail and cirrus cloud in mikes photo.
We had one storm that caused large scale damage, Bom gave warnings the next day becasue there where storms about, which missed perth and ended up out towards york. Just because the weather prediction isn't accurate, (it rarely is) doesn't prove a conspracy to alter the weather.
Cloud seeding makes clouds drop rain, rather then stop rain. cloud seeding would not stop a storm, it would encourage it do rain. Also the quantity of chemicals to have a large scale effect is simply massive, you'd need hundreds of planes spraying maybe more.
Cloud seeding does happen, and has been happening for a while, it just won't produce the effects the Mad_aussie above is claiming about stopping storms.
Clouds get alot higher the planes
