GOLD COAST - Recommendations

Basically house mate and me heading over at the end of April for Fri, Sat, Sun nights ... Never been to Gold Coast before only to Mission Beach up North Qld so wondering what clubs and pubs are good to hit on Surfers.

Make sure you go to Pancake place that's across the road from QV1. It's got Hot Air Balloons all over the windows.

It is the bombs, Jacks and Pancakes at 10am. Get the triple choc pancake.

And also, it's on the way to the GoldCoast, Kingsway Karts. Awesome fast track.

Two numbers

21 - one of the best clubs I've ever been to.

Right next to gc police station so no fuckwit behaviour, really chilled and nice atmosphere inside.

Also close to the strippers posted above so when you feel like going at 2am drunk as hell you will be close :)

yeppa, hollywoods is the shiznit !!! wouldnt have a friggen clue where else we went as it was on a bucks night = messy!

911 chicken wings at Hooters haha.. pretty gut rotting but i loved them when i was hungover...
gotta go to Chang Mai up near magic mountain for awesome thai..

and walk the beach from surfers to broadbeach if its hot and sunny, bulk toppos!!!

Draculas... Not a club or pub, but funny as fuck, hot goth chicks and decent food too.

I stayed at the same hotel as you on my honeymoon... not a bad place, but the pool area is surprisingly slippery as it is all marble tiles (not smart next to a pool)

5 Min walk south from the hotel is a mean little deli that does cheap, but awesome brekkie burgers.

Be careful clubbing in Surfers... as CPLAGZ said, glassings are a common occurance, the bouncers are cockheads and will photocopy your drivers licence and ask for your hotel and room number... give em false hotel details as they are well known for sending there mates to go over your hotel room looking for valuables while you are at the club.

Pancake place is only a 5 min walk north from the hotel.

Dreamworld is ok, Sea World is gay, Movie World is Crap (now), Wet n Wild is awesome (especially during schoolies week on your honeymoon)

The casino sucks balls there... do not bother.

Bus service is very reliable over there, use it... its a whole lot cheaper than taxis or rental cars.

There's 2 Draculas, the one out on Princess Highway near that big castle looking shopping centre which is the stage show/meal cabaret thing, and then there is Draculas right in town which is the 4 underground storey scarey thing.

We took a few girls down that thing, man it was funny. Very well setup though with the pneumatic system.. definitely worth it ! From memory it was near that flying bungee thing/mini golf course.

Also don't forget the big timezone in the arcade that has dodge'em cars, laser guns, bowling alley, and shitloads of games. And the real gun range next door to it if you want to spend bulk cash for 5 shots.
