Hi all,
Those that know me will know that I have too many projects on the go at once and this thing was only an opportunistic purchase originally. Since I bought it I have fixed it up mechanically and got it going etc, it has just sat in the shed and in the way since then.
I have just built a brand new shed for two cars...1x being my 68 Camaro project and the other being my 5 series Beemer project. I also wanted to put my camper trailer in the shed but alas it is full of cars and only 1x of the ones I intended to put in there is there!!
So, she has to go!
Whats it got?
It is an 84 Leone Sedan fitted with an import RS Legacy EJ20T with a stock turbo and what seems to be a 1.8 turbo AWD gearbag (still cable operated clutch) and matching rear differential. NOTE* This engine still seems to have the RS Heads and doesn't even have the rattly lifters!! It runs real nice and starts easily. A WRX Air to Air intercooler has also been fitted up negating the need for all the gear needed to run the Water to Air on an RS.
The C.V's don't seem to be noisy although the rear boots need to be replaced.
The interior is kitted out with a pair of after market (look like JDM) bucket seats which are pretty comfy. It has 3x BRAND NEW Autometer gauges mounted on the 'A' Pillar, 1x for OIl, 1x for Water and the other for Boost. It also has a Government Approved Immobiliser fitted as well as central locking (needs attention as only the right hand side working). All glass is in good knick with no cracks etc and windows are all tinted. Ooh, ooh, it's got an alloy gear knob too
It has a big red urethane gearbox mount, 3" stainless steel mandrel bent exhaust system (looks a little agricultural but works well) including dump pipe, BRAND NEW pod filter, BRAND NEW Bosch Coil Conversion kit and Top Gun plug leads with BRAND NEW spark plugs. The airflow meter was replaced (as it was missing), a blow off valve was fitted, BRAND NEW fuel filter installed, stainless steel adjustable strut brace in the engine bay. I also fitted a BRAND NEW battery. It has power cable and fuse running to the boot along with RCA cables etc for an amp if your that way inclined.
There are no leaks that I have noticed and I fitted a BRAND NEW Autometer temp sender fitting and hooked up a thermo fan which cuts in and out automatically via a relay etc (in other words, it's done properly).
It comes with a set of adjustable coil overs and BRAND NEW bushes for the rear so it doesn't look so 70's spec...
Also has 6 spoke 15" alloys all round...
Body wise it's pretty stock besides the RS bonnet scoop that has been grafted onto the Leone bonnet. Interior wise is tidy and all seat belts work and are in good knick. Trim doesn't have any tears in it and it has a leather genuine Porsche steering wheel fitted. The glove box is modified and doesn't hold anything as the ECU is located behind it.
What does it need?
I was intending to rego it so some of the items i would have sorted for rego would be: Some lights aren't working (globes?), couple of C.V. boots, boot and bonnet latches missing (has bonnet pins), interior light missing, reconnect the windscreen washers (missing one way valve), install a stereo (missing the surround facia), front seats need the mounts sorted properly. I would also suggest fitting a high flow fuel pump as it still has the stock pump fitted. Tidy up some wiring in general.
The left front chassis rail has a very small amount of corrosion in itat the very front and could do with a bit of plating. The body in general needs a tidy up and could do with a paint if you so desire. Some of the external trims also need to be refitted and the tyres need replacement (maybe even different rims for rego?). The 'A' pillar mount may also have to be removed for rego? Maybe a plumb back Blowoff Valve to be fitted also? The front screen has the usual corrosion around it underneath the trim and could do with a tidy up.
This car WAS rego'd and running with this driveline in it a number of years ago, so I don't see why it wouldn't pass once these minor items are sorted if you were intending to put it on the road. Mind you, I am pretty fussy so some of these things may not necessarily need to be done.

The vids were taken before I had tidied the body up a little bit, so it's mostly one colour now and doesn't look as ratty.

What do I want for it?
Well.... It's a bit ruff but it's definately ready... A fair bit of work has been done already and it now runs and drives.. Tidy the rest up yourself for rego or leave it as is and chuck in a cage for some spirited hill climbing or motorkhanas and your away...
It's certainly no glamourpuss and as such I am only asking $1900 FIRM. Remember this is a fully functioning mini REX or RS. Do your sums on building one yourself and then look at what you get with this one for your money!!
I will consider trades on a Two Post hoist (240v 15amp type) or a two seater off road buggy (like a chinese 250cc import type).
PM or email to mitchtam@hotmail.com. Vehicle is located SOR.
Cheers
Mitch
