Last night i was driving in Victoria park on a scooter behind a land cruiser down a back street. The street was poorly lit, Next thing i know i am laying on the road.
The land cruiser had driven over one of the new government black little speed bumps and wheels had gone each side. With me flowing behind about 20/30m traveling at 50km had hit the speed bump and got flung off damaging the scooter and grazing my body.
There where no reflectors on the newly placed bump no roadwork signs no street lights nothing.

what is the best action for me to do towards the council or government ?

Get photos to back your claim first, then speak to someone with legal experience would be a good start.

Yea i will head there tonight and get some photos and also damages to scooter and myself.
i swear these new bumps have done nothing for the lowering in vehicle speed...

They lowered your speed fairly effectively

yeah old man works for a local council. they get letters of compliants about road works damaging mag wheels and other stuff. They are often paying for repairs. send a letter plus photo's about the damages. worst they can say is no.
