I have a 1988 supra with a 7M GTE, 3L turbo motor.

so.. I blew the heater hose the other day which pissed coolent all over the back part of the engine, then afew min later I heard a metal clunking sound coming from the engine and then it cut out. popped the bonnet up to find white smoke coming off the engine, so I assumed oil has got onto it somehow.

anyways.. I replaced the heater hose, the rocker cover was sooo damn loose you could loosen the screws with your hand, so I tightened them up, did a full oil change, topped up coolent.. the car started up but was running very rough for 5 min.. I noticed the exhaust was glowing red? (hmm this doesnt seem normal as the car has been on idel for 5 min?)

I assumed it was the head gasket, but after the oil change I didnt see any milky shit in the oil.

It seems like oil is coming out for the back of the motor somehow but I can not see where tho..

ahhh fucking peice of shit.

Well... I figured out what the problem was.. Since I busted a heater hose afew weeks back, the water ended up ontop of the motor and got into the spark plug compartments.. so afew hours of work getting all the water out, put everything back together it kicked over 1st go :D

Then it started having over heating problems.. which now has somehow gone away :S.. weird jap cars they are sooo confussssssssssssssion!

I want my german car back! best engineered motors ever! hands down /nuff said.

i high pressured mine and had the same thing, had to painfully remove all the piping and just slowly remove each plug and crank over motor to blow out the water. stupidest design ever.. like most of the shit on those supras.

Fixed the over heating problem... the radiator needed a good bleed, had alot of air pockets now the water is flowing keeping it cool :)

No BHG!! (Thank Fuck!)
